We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tamara Jonelle a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tamara , thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
The mission behind Tamara Jonelle Photography is to make comfortable options for clients. Also opportunities to capture priceless memories and moments. We thrive to make sure customers have a satisfied experience and quality photos of them and their loves ones.
Tamara , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
It all started out with my love for broadcast journalism. I have some experience working for various radio stations and even writing in online articles. I just love telling stories of important and unique individuals. I love to be there at the best moments and make sure that their stories are delivered as organic as possible.
I have had bad experiences with Photographers and the lack of customer service and deliveries of galleries. I wanted to take those experiences and flip them for my own customers to have a better experience of what they deserve and have.
Tamara Jonelle Photography is an experience and also a Photography business who delivers above and beyond what is promised. We love to provide white glove service with fun and also lots of love!
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Never hide who are! I’m a bubbly outgoing person and I have learned that clients will love you and your work and you should never try to be someone you are not or also compare yourself to others. Authenticity is key and people tend to gravitate you when you are yourself.
Social media plays a big part in success in some industries. I found myself feeling burnt out trying to create a Reel a day and also just comparing myself to other big time photographers. I learned to not be so down on myself and that time will tell and we can keep on pushing and be yourself!
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Being myself, showing that I understand struggle in life since I have lived it and seen it. Communication and being transparent with my clients. Just having fun and being professional at the same time and also professional expertise has helped!
