Yes, My business is very niche and with that, I have been become one of the go-to photographers in the Pin Up community with Glitter Glam Studios.

With The Parisian Hostess Apothecary essential oil and skincare line I have created a product line that is easy to use with accessibility with its Parisian Inspired packaging

Every product is hand made in the United States by The Parisian Hostess Family with the goal of helping people take control of their own health and well being without the use of prescription medications and chemical infused products. Our product line strives to use ingredients that have all natural or organic bases with essential oil sourcing coming from the best locations around the globe.

Tamara Darress, also known in the Pin Up world as The Parisian Hostess, has been photographing woman for over 20 years with her company Glitter Glam Studios. She has been in front of and behind the camera working in the entertainment business her whole life.

From Japan working as the host of multiple TV shows on the American Forces Network to Norway on a reality TV show, Alt for Norge, to the pages of Pin Up Magazines, she knows what it is to be a real woman with curves!

Tamara applies her years of experience to helping other women look and feel fabulous with her 101 coaching and guidance from start to finish.

Glitter Glam Studios is a labor of love and passion with her photography gracing magazine covers and pages around the world!

Glitter Glam Studios specializes in Retro, Classic Pin Up, Glamour and Boudoir style photography.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

I have a Bachelors of Science in Occupational Therapy and worked for over 20 years in the field. I continue to maintain my license, however have left that for the companies I created. Unhappy with just helping a few people in my job as a therapist, I wanted to help thousands and so I created my own Essential Oil Line. I started small, using my salary as an OT to fund my business and did this without taking any loans out. I started doing pop ups at farmers markets, vintage stores, salons to make my sales. Not only did I develop a HUGE following, but I had a unique way to research what products worked and didn’t work, through my repeat business and request for new products. It was quite amazing and I was so humbled by the support I had from my own city. Taking the time to know my customers developed trust and a safe environment for them to share what their needs were. I expanded my product line to over 100 products based on what my customers asked for, and they continue to purchase and give amazing testimonies for me ! If you have a passion to do or create something, don’t get bogged down with financing, a true entreapreanur knows how to hustle and find a way. I was able to eliminate my college degree profession by replacing it with my company and have had no debt to this date. Sometimes jumping in with debt is tough to get out of, think about how you start your business….

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

I do pop ups and tradeshows every now and then as well as platforms like Popshop and Whatnot to expand my reach to freshen up my clientle list and it works!
