Talia, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?

I hate say it but Covid was a wake up call. I have one daughter and my whole life was wrapped around her. She has been an athlete since the age of seven, traveling with her was my priority. Then came covid and she was going to college. I asked myself ” What do I love, who am I?” I had already had a good following on social media, most of my message was glam, beauty, dating, travel, fashion and home. So I decided to start a business based on that. Surrounding yourself with places and things you deserve. I prayed about the name and LIVE AND MUSE came to me. Live your life and show other how to do it.

LIVE AND MUSE is a lifestyle store that has four categories of home, fitness, beauty and apparel. Healthy, clean, sustainable products are at the forefront of every product. Our message is self-love, self-care and sharing the gift of a happy, healthy life with others.

Have you ever had to pivot?

When I started this business in Plano TX, it was online only. I was shipping daily, some weeks were great, some not so much. Then I moved to California and tried other avenues like popups, and boutiques. I am amazed at my growth this past year. I grossed more in my first quarter than my first two years. I am grateful for the growth and the lessons I’ve learned.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

I went from online only to in person shopping. That was a pivot for LIVE AND MUSE. I got to hear the people and what they wanted, honest opinions help you grow. As a business owner realized you have to get out there and met your customers face to face. Popups brought my business to life, I could no longer hide behind Instagram. I highly suggest anyone who has a new business or any business to get out in front of the customers. It gives your brand personality and life.
