We were lucky to catch up with Talan Gachette recently and have shared our conversation below.

Talan, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

I believe the key to success is passion. You have to be passionate about your goals, your dreams and put in the work. Success also isn’t about just the big moments, it’s also about the small victories that lead up to that big moment. Right now I believe that I am on my success journey, which is where the name Talanroad comes from. It is a road with stops along the way, with highs, lows, lessons and different successes.

Talan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

The main message of my brand is to have fun and be you. I use fashion to portray that message. I want people to feel comfortable to express themselves with their looks. I want to be the best friend or sister you can shop in their closet but also have a great time with on a night out or at brunch.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

For me the best way I have gained new followers and get people to interact with my content is by being myself and being authentic. I do my best to post consistently especially on Tiktok. I think that platform gives you a little more leeway to be raw/fun.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

Honestly being a immigrant from Haiti, coming here at a young age by itself is being resilient. It has taught me that change is necessary for growth. It has taught me to work hard and keep following my dreams.
