We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Takia Hansley. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Takia below.
Takia, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
I teach manifestation, but not with strategies and tactics. In my space, manifestation is not something you can accomplish on your own. That would be basic cause and effect.
To manifest means 1, to make evident; 2. to accept an act of God. Your truest thoughts and beliefs are made evident (manifested) in the experience of your daily life. For example, someone who truly believes life is hard will struggle every day in the same situation as someone who believes differently will experience a life of ease in alignment with their beliefs.
On the other hand, manifestation is when things you have no control over seem to “just happen”, it’s because you’ve gotten out of God’s way and into alignment.
I guide my clients through my 3R framework to shift into alignment by Reframing their past experiences, Rewiring their thought patterns, and Realigning with their authentic God-self.
Takia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My brand has evolved over the past nine years, shaped by my passion for personal growth, entrepreneurship, and helping others create lasting legacies. I started in network marketing, excelling quickly, but soon realized that success wasn’t just about strategy—it was about mindset. That realization sent me down the rabbit hole of personal development, where I immersed myself in life coaching, earning certifications in general life coaching, happiness, purpose, goal achievement, and ultimately, a master life coaching certification. I also specialized in entrepreneurship coaching, knowing that building wealth and independence is about more than just business—it’s about shifting how we think.
For years, my focus has been helping moms create legacies through entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and personal empowerment. I believe that a large part of success and wealth comes down to self-worth—how we see ourselves directly impacts what we allow ourselves to receive. Money has always been at the core of my programs, not just as a tool for wealth, but as a way to unlock freedom and abundance. During the pandemic, I deepened my studies by adding neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) to my toolkit, expanding my work to include children’s mindset programs.
Now, I offer accountability coaching for entrepreneurs, a transformative 90-day self-reinvention program, and money mindset and financial literacy coaching. This year, I’m expanding even further by launching a line of merchandise to reinforce these principles in daily life. I also launched a tax business, bridging the gap between financial education and real-world wealth-building strategies. Understanding money isn’t just about mindset—it’s also about strategy, and taxes play a huge role in that. My goal is to make financial empowerment accessible on all levels, whether through coaching, education, or direct financial services.
Beyond coaching, I’m incredibly family-oriented, and legacy-building is at the heart of everything I do. I believe in creating experiences that shift perspectives, which is why I’ve expanded into hosting transformational retreats. One of my proudest accomplishments was leading my first retreat in Barbados in 2023, blending personal development with cultural immersion. Travel is a huge part of my life, and I love curating experiences that help people break free from their everyday routines and step into new possibilities.
At my core, I want people to know that success isn’t just about strategy—it’s about aligning your mindset, energy, and actions with the life you truly desire. Whether it’s through coaching, financial literacy, immersive retreats, or my tax business, my mission is to help others shift into their highest potential, build lasting wealth, and create a life they truly love.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I built my reputation on Facebook with the launch of their live video feature. I hosted a show called Midday Motivation on Facebook Live every weekday in the 12 o’clock hour for almost 3 years, including birthdays and holidays. I also hosted live 5-day challenges, different series like Just Ask Takia, and pop-up videos throughout the week. My consistency allowed me to reach wide audiences and have regular viewers from all over the world. I also collaborated with other leaders and creators on their videos and events. Facebook Live became a powerful tool for me to show up authentically, engage my audience, and grow my brand.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
When I first decided to launch Ignite My Legacy, my entrepreneurship coaching program, I was all in. I invested thousands in a coach to learn how to build and sell a high-ticket offer, thinking I’d see results right away. But reality had other plans.
For nine months straight, I ran 5-day challenges every other month, showing up, giving my all, and expecting that this time would be the right time. Some launches ended with zero sales calls. Other times, I had calls, but no one said yes. It was exhausting. I began to question everything—was I even meant to do this? How could I invest so much time, energy, and money with nothing to show for it?
Then, I had a shift. I realized I was so attached to getting the sale that I was blocking the very success I was working for. I had to release that pressure, step into my confidence, and trust that the right people would recognize the value of what I was offering. Everything changed when I finally detached from the outcome and settled into knowing I had the solution they were looking for.
That first “yes” was like breaking open a dam. After that, people started coming to me—even when I wasn’t actively launching. I learned that resilience isn’t just about pushing through; it’s about shifting your energy, trusting yourself, and knowing that success follows alignment.
