Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Arieal. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Arieal, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
Yes… but not by choice, lol!
As a new/growing business, I don’t have the budget to hire someone to run my social media platforms. It’s takes a lot of planning, vision, strategy, testing, trail and error, etc. Although, I’m not in a position to hire someone to manage my social media, I appreciate the knowledge I’ve learned from managing it myself.
If you have to run your own social media, I recommend always study trends for your industry (niche) and understand analytical metric so that you can learn how your content performs, so that you can replicate the formula.
If you decide to let a company manage your social media, learn what they’re doing and what techniques, they’re using to engage/grow your audience, so that you can build your own team to do it or build another business around something that you know works.
Arieal, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a mom blogger/content creator. I started in the industry when I was helping my dad use social media to promote his business, which took a decline during the pandemic.
In doing so, I started learning what social media actually is, how it’s used as a marketing tool, etc. and I became very intrigued!
I started to learn the techniques to growing/building an audience, the function of algorithms, the power of content creation, etc. So I started to explore how I can relate to others in the space I was in, which was motherhood.
At the time, I was experiencing self neglect due to demands of motherhood and wanted to share my experiences and teach other mom how they can take care of themselves as well as their families. So that started my blogging journey. And from there, I had to find a way to promote my blog, which then lead me to being a social media content creator.
So my goal is to create a community for moms who need to different types of support throughout motherhood/self discovery.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I’m still building my social media platforms. And honestly, it’s not an easy task!
But the best advice I can share is the same information everyone shares: be authentic and consistent!
It takes a while for the algorithm to get you in front of the audience your trying to attract, so you have to keep feeding it and see what works!
Also, collaboration is key! Collaborating with other can get you in front of your desired audience, which helps you gain more visibility!
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of doing this is to know I can do what I’m already doing, create an audience to and it become my career. In addition I can do it with my family and help them create a career from passion and teach them the power of media marketing for success.
