Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Taelyr Wilson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Taelyr, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later
If I could go back and start sooner or later I really wouldn’t want to change anything. I think everything I had been doing and the knowledge I acquired prior to prepared me as much as it could up to the point so I do think it happened at the right time. I believe everything happens when it’s supposed to, and although there were and still are challenges I really wouldn’t change anything.

Taelyr, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a Chef who provides amazing food for all dietary needs. I got into this industry in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic just doing what I love and sharing my passion with my online community. I began getting inquiries and opportunities to provide services, as well as collaborate with other people in the hospitality field. One of the things that sets me apart is that I specialize in accommodation. If someone has dietary needs such as gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian, I am able to accommodate my menu and provide comfort foods I have on there for them as well. I want everyone to know that they will always get delicious food and exceptional service from me.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I built my audience by just doing what I love and focusing on quality and not quantity. I understand social media quantity is important but I was noticing me worrying about this was bringing about lots of anxiety and keeping me from posting as much as I should have been. It was also becoming more of a chore than something I was enjoying. So now I’m back to just posting what comes to mind and gong with it. It’s more fun and that always translates a lot better to my audience. Just post what you love and the people who are supposed to see it will.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One of my stories in my journey that illustrates my resilience is going back and also putting myself through school. I had no idea how physically, mentally, and emotionally challenging going back to school while also running my business while also working full time would be. I was barely home, a lot of 18-19 hour days but now that it’s over I’m really proud of myself and feel more confident in what I’m capable of. It was extremely difficult but I have a plan that I’m sticking to no matter what, and as of today actually I am officially done with my externship hours!
