We recently connected with Tae Silvers and have shared our conversation below.

Tae, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today The first dollar you earn is always exciting – it’s like the start of a new chapter and so we’d love to hear about the first time you sold or generated revenue from your creative work?

This has to be one of the best feelings in the world. The interaction actually happened organically. I remember the day like it was yesterday. I’ve been working on promoting My music and clothing brand on multiple social media accounts. This day a fan of mine reached out on Tiktok asking to buy the shirt I was wearing in a video I made. It shocked me because at the time I barely had any clout or publicity, and they still wanted one. I did get to send him a shirt to his house through the mail. He loved it and sent me a few pictures of him rocking it. He told me that I was inspiring and dope. It made me feel good and confirmed that I’m in fact on the right track with following My dreams. This Made me realize that me following My dreams could inspire someone else to chase theirs.

Bio:

Hello, My Name is Tae Silvers. I’m an independent musician from Denver, CO. I make all kinds of music from Melodic, Chill, Real, and good vibes type music. All My music is on all streaming services. Be sure to check it out and don’t miss the wave! If I’m not working on My music then I’m probably creating new Hoodie designs for My fans, I also design Shirts and Sweat sets. To be honest, I’ve been into music My whole life. Growing up I would write songs all throughout the day, and even perform at rallies and contests. Writing and making music is a way for me to express Myself and get MY feelings out. It’s a plus that other people enjoy it as well. It makes me proud when a fan tells Me a song of mine helped them get through something or a song was just simply “dope”. I think Me writing from My heart and expressing my life and what I’ve been through is what sets me apart from other musicians. I just talk and speak in a different way others connect with. I want my potential fans or followers to know that I’m Real. I’m not a celebrity. I mess up, I fall down but I get back up even stronger. I feel like that makes me relatable to so many people. Ain’t no such thing as perfect.. not even over here. I want them to know that My brand is LOVE. Not only for others but for yourself. Elevating your life to be a better you!. With me being a musician the fashion side just came along with it. Rappers/Musicians love to be the flyest in the room and I’m no different. From a custom Hoodie draped over some designer jeans.. to a custom sweat set. I design clothes that promote what I stand for. Love & Good vibes!. I want My potential fans to know when they rock a shirt of mine they are supporting a local artist and also standing for individualism, Love and Good vibes. Currently every item ( Hoody, Shirt, Sweat shirt or sweat pants) is hand designed and made by Myself. True discipline and attention to detail is taken on every purchase.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

I would say the most rewarding aspect would be meeting My fans and their reactions to my music. I never thought of people actually adding my music to their own playlist or even knowing a song I wrote by heart. Its a different type of feeling. I’ve had people use My lyrics in Instagram captions or just sayings they now use. Lol its truly mind blowing in the most humble way. One of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had is when I met the WWE Legend “The GodFather”. I made him a custom Tee which he loved and even wore! Also another rewarding aspect coming from the fashion side is when someone complements My clothes not knowing its custom made. That usually shocks them once I let them know. Its nice being recognized and praised for your art.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

I wouldn’t say there’s a particular goal. Right now the drive is coming from the love of the culture. Me wanting to leave My own print or make My own lane is the move right now. Also with me having two daughters, I want to show them that chasing your dreams is always a possibility. No matter your age or where you came from.
