Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tabatha Visutskie. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tabatha, appreciate you joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Our latest film (TVM Productions) that my creative partner (Tyson Vines) and I produced, directed and performed in is entitled, The Darkest Choice. This story evolves around the topic of assistance suicide. We follow three characters dealing with mental illness, life threatening disease and dementia. The choices they make are both positive and negative. There are real life interviews regarding their thoughts on suicide. They are powerful, evoking strong emotions towards the topic of suicide

Tabatha, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have always wanted to be an Actor! My journey into acting is absolutely inspiring! It’s amazing how my passion for performing started at such a young age with my sister Robin, and the fact that I was already thinking like a producer and director even back then—charging for tickets, growing your audience—really shows my entrepreneurial spirit as well as my creativity.
I have had an incredible career trajectory, from winning a scholarship to studying at prestigious institutions like Van Mar Academy of Motion Pictures and Television in L.A. and the First Act Theatre School, all the way to breaking into the industry with principal roles in film, TV, and commercials. The transition from acting to filmmaking was a natural progression for me with my background, and it’s fantastic that I have been able to bring my ideas to life through short films and other featured works.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
When I play a character I play it truthfully, authentically and with conviction. Once I receive the script I am hundred percent involved with the character moving fluently and embodying the character making it come to life on both screen and stage.
What drives my creative journey is that there are many stories to be heard, to write and film. Both as an actor and filmmaker I have been given this opportunity and want to continue the journey.
In collaboration with TVM Productions we are actively seeking producers and collaborators to bring 5 Wounds to the big screen or as a series. The story is based on true life 5 events with a supernatural twist, it’s entitled 5 Wounds.
I did produce a proof of concept with my production house, Twin Visutskie Films and named it 5, the beginning. It can be viewed here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCbd_jsj3_U

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Throughout my journey as both an actor and filmmaker there have been ups and downs in my career that requires resilience. I have had both wins and losses but giving up was not an option.
The bond that I shared with my best friend and co-creator, Christine was deeply special—it’s was rare to have someone who believed in my vision so fully and supported me every step of the way. Losing my creative partner and close friend was undoubtedly a profound challenge, and she continues to influence and inspire me, especially in my work on 5 Wounds and my earlier films like Making It.
The fact that I can still hear her words, “Tabatha, keep on creating,” is so powerful. It speaks to me the lasting impact she had on me, both personally and creatively. Christine’s spirit and belief in my both life and work, especially in 5 Wounds, which I imagine is more than just a story—it’s a tribute to her and to the conversations we shared. I am forever grateful that she came into my life.
