We were lucky to catch up with Tab Sadiq recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tab, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Many of us are aware of our strengths and what sets us on fire but choose to look the other way by taking solace in the illusion that we have enough time. Then, life happens and we get busier, more distracted, and drift further away from that thing that we were sent down to do.
Another scenario is that we’re faced with a life-altering catastrophe that wakes us up from this “deep sleep” and we get right to what makes us feel most fulfilled. I fall in this category. After surviving a near-death experience, I got right to that one thing that I would have regretted the most had I not made it out alive; I began traveling at every chance I got and eventually began tying it to my other passion – story-telling.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
The joy I find in being lost in an unknown land is beyond inexplicable. I also discovered fairly quickly that what brought me more joy was sharing with the audience my discoveries of people and destinations. In my content while I cover a certain location or individual(s), I try my best to try and present an alternate perspective, a lesser-known historical fact, or an internal conversation that may be in occurrence.
My upbringing has made me intrinsically curious. I was born to Pakistani parents in Monaco then raised between Cameroon, Nigeria, and Zambia. Did a short stint in Pakistan, and then ended up in Sonoma County, CA before relocating to DFW eight years ago. All this relocating conditioned me to not only find common ground with others but I also enjoy learning how someone is wired and what gets them up from their bed in the mornings. During my travels, this curiosity often leads to much deeper and profound conversations about history/culture/upbringing/life that are shared with my audience, of course – with permission.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
This fulfilling path has had its share of speed bumps. Every so often, I have to be admitted to the hospital due to post abdominal surgery-related health issues where I am out of commission for a few days and I end up losing momentum. I use these occurrences to reinvent myself, and each time this has happened, I’ve bounced back better and stronger. I’ve also enrolled myself in yoga and I’m an avid gym rat which together has nearly helped me eliminate these recurring hospital visits, all while improving my mindfulness.
The ongoing balancing act doesn’t stop either and will always continue. In addition to creating content, I work a 9-5, manage several rental properties, and I’m a dad to my beautiful and energetic 2 year old boy. Setting routines and processes help me manage my day where I’m able to add to each bucket as necessary.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes. Go after what lights you on fire and give it your everything – like I do – not fearing failure. I’ve learned that when one enters the first step towards something unknown, the suffering from anxiety takes place twice – once in reality while executing the necessary tasks and the other in your imagination, long before the execution of tasks. This is why so many of us don’t even bother taking these unknown steps because we’re afraid to face this anxiety twice. Our brain convinces us to remain in our nest of comfort and avoid the anxiety while magnifying our possibility of failure.
I encourage everyone reading my content, or even this article, to decipher how that grayish gelatinous object in their head works. Shatter those toxic patterns so that you’re not cutting yourself short, and take that first step towards what fulfills you.
