We caught up with the brilliant and insightful T I Double G a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

T I, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

Our mission is to create a modern, safe environment for creatives to be able to fully embrace as well as express their full creativity.

We initially set out to build a workspace for ourselves that eventually turned out being ideal for others as well.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

Music Media Lounge is kinda of all of the family’s. That’s what really sets us apart from your average radio or recording studio. The unspoken given is the energy that exists & is experienced at MML.

We are an online radio station/recording studio. We have mix shows with đifferent djs. We also have podcasts that are recorded in house, both which are streamed live on our internet radio station. So the fact that we provide our clients so many different ways to be heard, we solve the initial setup issues someone would encounter on their own.

I personally got introduced into music from the good ole days of vinyl. From then until now music has always been an essential part of my life. Taking a naturally embedded hobby & transitioning it into a business happened on its own.

I always say we have to give thanks for the moments & trust the process. When we reach your destination or pinnacle even, you’ve reached. That’s what all the moments in the process were about. So essentially it’s the moments experienced in the process that are priceless.

At MML we strive to be surrounded by like minded individuals. We provide what we couldn’t find ourselves; A Radio Station that plays music geared towards us. Reggae, Dancehall, Afrobeats, Hip Hop, R&B, Soca & more. Every other radio station usually centralizes their audience by one genre two at most.

With all the new changes since the pandemic, podcasts have become the main source of expression. We established an environment overwhelmed with personality. From the paint on the walls to the people in the building, everything has it’s significance, everything plays its part. AS IT SHOULD

Any advice for managing a team?

Understanding is key. With understanding brings a more empowered state of mind. It allows you to deal with another on a level more conducive to success.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Looking at where we are today is a story in itself. We started playing music for ourselves on a daily just to vibe. The vibe transformed into what we see today.
