Alright, Synphonie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?

I was a teacher for 7 years.. I completely trusted GOD and I walked away from my job without a plan! Although I was risking everything my faith in GOD was (and still is) bigger then my fear. I was no longer happy in my career.. the career I once dreamed of was no longer my passion. I’m a firm believer that GOD will make you uncomfortable in a situation when it’s time for you to move..

I experimented with other businesses and jobs .. but truth be told I hated them all. In 2017, I told my husband I wanted a camera and I wanted to become a photographer. Even without a full plan he supported my every move.

I ended up getting wrongfully terminated from a job that I deeply hated.. this job was so bad I considered becoming a teacher again. That job was the last job I had before fully becoming a full time entrepreneur.. I knew it was MY TIME!

I struggled to gain clients.. But I never gave up! I started off charging almost nothing for pictures just to help get my name out there. I took pictures in my living room.. because that was all I had. My business became apart of my daily prayer because regardless of how hard things got… I kept working!

Fast forward … those risk/sacrifices were ALL WORTH IT! Although I’m still not exactly where I wanna be just yet… my business is successful and still growing!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My PhotograpHER journey begin 5 years ago, and I instantly fell in love with my craft. Pictures have always been my favorite because they are captured memories.

I feel like ever struggle and sacrifice that has been made has been completely worth it.. my business is growing more and more daily.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Social Media has played a major part in my business growth.. most of my clientele is from social media!

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

I promote myself daily… I created hash tags that I use daily when posting my content. Everyday I’m learning what works best to gain new clients
