We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sydney Lloyd a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Sydney, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I’ve been ask this a lot how and why did you start Chelle Services.
Well today we going to dive right in and I’ll explain it all.
So back in 2019 I gave birth to my only child Stiona she had some complications and was given 1 week to live, I was so scared nervous and all alone so at one point I couldn’t think clearly I was very angry and I got my child taken from me by dcfs but that did not stop me.
I did everything I need to get my child back but I needed to move and needed a bigger place so I applied places but my credit and income wasn’t enough.
I then hired a credit specialist, she did not help me at all. So I took it upon myself to know the in and outs of credit and as a consumer. I got my score to an 784, so I was shocked to see that score increase so then I start working on my sibling report and got their scores up.
That inspired me to help others and fix credit, because In my community and household credit was never taught to my siblings, me or peers.
I’m happy to be that voice for my community
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Sydney I’m living my dreams as an entrepreneur.
I got into this industry simply to fix my credit than it quickly expanded to my siblings to me having over 350 clients.
I’ve came so far to me losing everything meaning my child for 15 months and than getting her back and continuing to come on top is everything to me I never gave up on my dream nor my child.
What sets me apart from other credit specialist is the honesty and commitment I have, each of my clients I try to met their goal in getting an 800 credit score. It does take time and patience this is definitely a team effort. Also if I can’t fix your credit I 100% Refund them the same day.
I work hard, I give back to my community, we do monthly giveaways and I help fix some credit profiles at a very low cost.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
Here at Chelle Services I show you guys how to get funding like me.
I get funding from grants, it’s over 500k grants in the business world. I received about 160k in business grants so far in the past 2 years.
I also did crowdfunding to get funding for my business.
Lastly I set up my payment processor so I can get capital from those sources and not just and traditional bank.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I truly love being asked this, so come a little closer so I can tell you all my secrets 👀
1. I do giveaways
( have them tag 3-5 accounts)
That way it brings more potential clients to my page.
2. I ask people once I service them to share my work.
( word of mouth isn’t dead)
3. I literally airdrop when I’m in any room, coffee place it can even be target I’m always promoting Chelle Services
