We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sydney Jordan a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Sydney , thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I’m hoping my legacy will be; quality tea made with care and intention with fast and consistent service.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My shop features hand packaged tea blends made with freshly dried fruit, biodegradable tea bags, hot and mild sauce, spiced jams, and bath salts. The inaccessibility of good quality tea while being poor is what really drove
me to create Gaia’s Brew, and I will always keep my price low so not to price out anyone. Everyone deserves access to quality herbs and teas that are good for the soul.
My favorite thing is to get products reviews, getting back raving reviews about how the tea worked so hard on made them feel, is always amazing to experience.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think my reputation is built on my commitment to the best flavor possible. I dry all my fruit and when I’m able to, use fresh herbs from my community garden space for my blends.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
My best source of new clients is always word of mouth, and my strong community. Every change someone gets, they tag me to put my business in someone’s eyesight and brag on all the work I do.
