We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Sydney Head. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Sydney below.
Sydney, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
At Sydney Biddix Beauty, we’ve reimagined what a salon experience can be. While many salons focus on getting guests in and out quickly, we slow things down to deliver a truly luxury service. Every appointment is highly customized — from a thorough consultation and precise color matching to the meticulous installation and blending of extensions. We limit our daily bookings so each guest receives our full attention without feeling rushed.
Where the industry standard often treats extensions or color services as one-size-fits-all, we work with premium, ethically sourced products and use advanced techniques that protect the health of your natural hair. We also focus on comfort and aftercare — from seamless application methods that prevent damage to personalized maintenance education so our clients can keep their results looking flawless for months.
Our guests leave not only with beautiful hair, but with the confidence that comes from a service tailored just for them — in a space where they feel seen, heard, and cared for.

Sydney, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Sydney Head, and I’m the owner of Sydney Biddix Beauty, a boutique salon suite in Woodstock, Georgia, specializing in luxury hair extensions and lived-in color. My journey into the beauty industry began when I was young, with a love for helping people feel confident in their own skin. Over the years, I’ve pursued advanced education, becoming an Elite Artist with Invisible Bead Extensions® — a certification held by only the most skilled extension specialists.
At Sydney Biddix Beauty, we provide high-end, customized hair extension services, precision color, and maintenance plans designed to keep hair healthy while achieving a natural, seamless look. Many of my clients come to me because they’ve had poor past experiences — hair that felt uncomfortable, didn’t blend well, or caused damage. My role is to correct those issues by focusing on scalp health, natural hair protection, and a flawless, undetectable finish. Every service begins with a thorough consultation so I can design a look that fits not only their desired aesthetic but also their lifestyle and hair goals.
What sets us apart is our commitment to a truly elevated guest experience. We don’t overbook or rush services — each appointment is intentionally paced so my guests feel cared for from start to finish. I work exclusively with premium, ethically sourced products and invest heavily in continuing education to ensure the techniques I use are the most innovative and safe in the industry. I also believe luxury is in the details, whether that’s the comfort of the application, the precision of the blend, or the personalized aftercare education each guest receives.
I’m most proud of the trust my clients place in me. Many of them travel hours to sit in my chair, and that’s a responsibility I take seriously. I’ve built a brand that stands for artistry, integrity, and lasting beauty — where every client walks out not just with gorgeous hair, but with the confidence that comes from being truly listened to and valued. For anyone considering our services, I want them to know that Sydney Biddix Beauty isn’t just about great hair — it’s about creating an experience where you feel like the most beautiful version of yourself, inside and out.

How did you build your audience on social media?
When I first started posting on social media, I didn’t have a huge audience — just a handful of friends, family, and a few local clients. But I knew that if I wanted to grow my business, I had to treat my Instagram and TikTok like an extension of my salon chair.
In the early days, I shared a mix of transformation photos, hair tips, and little snippets of my life so people could get to know me beyond the work I did. I wasn’t just showing ‘before and after’ shots — I was telling the story behind them. That’s what really started to resonate. Guests could see my personality, hear my thought process, and understand the care that goes into every service. I also made sure to always post consistently- never missing a day in the beginning.
As I specialized in hair extensions, I doubled down on educational content — explaining the differences between methods, sharing aftercare tips, and showing the behind-the-scenes work that most stylists keep hidden. That transparency built trust, and trust grew my audience.
I also made it a point to engage with people as much as I posted — replying to comments, answering DMs, and connecting with local businesses and creators. That two-way conversation helped me turn followers into loyal clients, and loyal clients into my biggest advocates.
Now, social media is one of my strongest referral sources. My audience has grown not just because of algorithms, but because I’ve built it around authenticity, expertise, and the same care I give to every guest in my chair.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been a combination of highly specialized services and intentional relationship-building. Specializing in luxury extensions and lived-in color allows me to attract a very specific client — someone looking for high-quality, long-lasting results. That niche focus helps me stand out in a crowded industry.
From there, my growth has come from two main sources: social media and word-of-mouth. On social media, I share not just pretty hair photos, but the ‘why’ and ‘how’ behind what I do — from behind-the-scenes prep to education on hair health. That transparency builds trust before a client even walks in the door.
But nothing compares to the power of a happy client. I focus on creating such a personalized, memorable experience that guests can’t help but tell their friends. That’s why I intentionally limit my daily bookings — so each client gets my full attention, no rushing, no cookie-cutter approach.
At the end of the day, my strategy isn’t complicated: specialize, deliver exceptional results, and treat every client like they’re the only one on my schedule. That’s what keeps them coming back — and bringing others with them.
