Sweeetz, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

I didn’t. My father noticed I was working a lot of jobs and unhappy. I remember him calling me into his room as he sat in his recliner, and said “since you’re good with kids, think about being a Clown”. By him sparking that interest opened a new world, purpose and lifelong mission. Shoutout to my father cause he seen my spark, knew my strengths and known his daughter simply wanted more…. When I was younger, I always wanted to travel to New York and become an actress. Fast forward, I perform presentations interacting with everyone!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Hey folks, I’m Sweeetz LaBamba! Creative of Seasoned Settlers. Born and raised in Washington, DC. My passion was ignited because I love theater. Merging the love of the arts with interest in providing entertainment was the perfect self-recipe in over time to develop Seasoned Settlers. Seasoned Settlers is a non-profit organization that provides education and recreational programs to enhance quality of life. Our organization mission is “vision zero”. To inform people on all things safety, to ultimately create Safe communities. We host an array of events that discuss public safety, traffic safety, automobile safety, injury prevention, school safety, community safety, cyber safety and much more!

We too take pride in providing respite cycling to senior citizens and one’s who are battling cancer through our signature program called Beez Bikes/ Burnz Bikes. This service that Seasoned Settlers provides is dear to me. I do this in honor of my father who I lost due to Pancreatic Cancer. I understand what people/ families endure during this trying time. Providing this support is my way to show you’re not battling this disease alone, provides a sense of escapism and gets the people outside where natural healing occurs while creating memorable moments with the ones you love.

We’re ready to kick things up a notch, serve and impact more people. Currently seeking sponsorship or partnership with UPS, Amazon or other companies.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

Operating in your gifts, creating moments with others, having mental clarity and being present with the family. 🤍

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

Yes! I want to have my own facility. It’s on my vision board, I think about it all the time to the point I can’t sleep.
