We recently connected with Sviatlana Bahushevich and have shared our conversation below.
Sviatlana, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How do you think about vacations as a business owner? Do you take them and if so, how? If you don’t, why not?
Of course, I take vacations, as traveling is my passion. As an entrepreneur and creator, I understand that it can be difficult to step away from work even for a short time. However, I believe that taking a break is essential for maintaining a balance between work and personal life.
To ensure that everything runs smoothly during my absence, I prepare in advance: I automate processes and plan my time so that all important tasks are completed before I leave. Working alone requires special discipline and organization. It’s important to create a system that allows the business to function without constant supervision.
My advice to other entrepreneurs is not to be afraid to take breaks. Rest helps you return with new energy and ideas, which ultimately benefits your business. Traveling not only recharges you but also provides an opportunity to see the world from a different perspective, which can be incredibly valuable for both your professional and personal growth.

Sviatlana, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Of course, I’d be happy to tell you about myself! My name is Sviatlana, and I’m a photographer and UGC creator based in New York City, originally from Belarus. My passion for art started in childhood when I graduated from art school. I always dreamed of becoming an interior designer, but due to financial circumstances, I couldn’t pursue further education. Later, when I built my own house, I fully embraced my designer ambitions.
After school, I immediately started working while simultaneously earning a degree in economics and management. I spent 15 years in sales, a significant portion of which I held the position of key account manager in international companies like GlaxoSmithKline. However, my heart always leaned towards creativity, so I decided to learn photography from some incredibly talented people.
Two years ago, I moved to the USA and have been continuing to develop my creative skills ever since. I attend numerous courses, read books, and carry out my projects. My works have been published in magazines in the USA and Europe.
As a photographer and UGC creator, I especially value capturing genuine emotions and authentic moments. In today’s world, many people have to wear masks and pretend to be something they’re not in front of society. I aim to capture real moments where the soul of a person is visible, rather than staged and artificial scenes. This desire for authenticity is reflected in the UGC content I create for brands.
My services include creating photos and videos that help brands stand out and be memorable. I assist companies in telling their stories through visual content that attracts and retains attention. It’s important not just to showcase the product, but to convey its atmosphere and emotions.
What sets me apart is my commitment to sincerity and attention to detail. I’m proud that my work helps brands resonate with their audience and build trust with their customers.
For potential clients and followers, it’s important to know that my work isn’t just about beautiful images, but the result of deep understanding and immersion in the project. I always strive to understand the brand’s philosophy, values, and goals to create truly unique and memorable content.
I enjoy collaborating with those who share my love for creativity and quality. Every project is an opportunity for me to contribute to the brand’s story and make it even brighter and more interesting.

Have you ever had to pivot?
One of the most significant moments in my life was moving to the USA, which became a real turning point for change. This step pushed me to reassess my priorities and face my true desires.
Previously, I worked for 15 years in sales, achieving high positions, but my passion for creativity was always nearby, although it remained a hobby. The move opened new horizons for me and gave me the opportunity to return to learning, diving into the world of photography and videography.
I realized that this was not just a hobby, but my calling. Now, I capture genuine moments and tell stories that reflect true feelings and emotions.
This journey has been an important step for me, as it has allowed me to live in harmony with myself and follow my true passions. I hope that my story inspires others who are also seeking the courage to change their lives and pursue their dreams.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the ability to capture genuine moments and emotions. When my work brings joy and inspiration to people, it brings incredible satisfaction. I believe that art helps us see ourselves and our feelings, and I love creating something that can touch the hearts of others.
