We recently connected with Svetlana Banks and have shared our conversation below.

Svetlana, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

I named my company Savour The Life because I want every person to have a taste of their life and enjoy every single moment. Many people have lost this. They lost their taste of life and taste of love, and I want them to get it back. So, I have many coaching programs. These programs help people find a source of inspiration, power, and joy every single day of their life so they can be happy again.

Svetlana, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I am a life coach. It is often said that the source of infinite power is money, authority, and fame. But I think that the word is the source of infinite power. Wars begin and end with the word. With a word, you can put someone down on their knees or raise them up to the skies. It is the word that changes thinking, thinking changes behavior, and behavior changes destiny itself, and history.

The power of the word is in truth and faith. That is why, two people can say the same speech, but only the one that is said with sincere conviction will resonate in the hearts. Why do the works of the classics, be it music, painting, or literature, remain relevant for centuries and continue to invigorate the minds? Because each such work that today we call classics, was an expression of deeply personal experiences where a person was sincere to their core.

What we say is of infinite importance to us. What is happening in the world now is also the influence of the word, and the responsibility of each person lies in what he/she chooses: who to believe and why?

And precisely because I believe in the power of the word, I chose my profession. I approach each session with deep care, knowing that I am touching the infinite mystery that a person is. I also know that my faith in his uniqueness will help him see for himself the treasure that he possesses, and this, in turn, will radically change his life.

The profession is an expression of your essence. The deeper you dig, the faster you get to the point. I’m a coach by nature. I was one long before I got the education. For several years I worked as a motivational speaker for different audiences, and many of these meetings touched people so much that they completely changed their life.

When I was three years old, I was diagnosed with an incurable disease that, according to doctors, should have stopped my lifespan at five years old. Nobody told me I would be happy, and it was very difficult to believe in my happiness when nobody even believed I had a future. But now I am 45, happily married, and have many wonderful friends. I have been on three continents, seen a few oceans, and visited many countries.

That’s why I’m the right person for someone who asks themselves if they could reach something or, is it possible, could I even be happy, etc. If none of the problems I had to face stopped me on the path to happiness and the opportunity to live a fulfilled life, then I can help those who are looking for fulfillment in their life and who strive to achieve big goals.

My Coaching Programs are born out of my passion for uniqueness and beauty of each person. My goal is to help others achieve their full potential and create their desired future.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

As I said earlier when I was three years old, I was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The first child of my parents died from the same disease when he was three years old.

My parents were scared even though they tried to raise me like any other child, I never heard phrases like: “When you get married…”, “When you go to University…”, or “When you start to work…”. It was too difficult to imagine my future if you couldn’t believe I would have a future.

I often think about this time when I was a little girl, and I learn from the atmosphere around me that something is wrong, that I couldn’t do or have many things other kids could do or have. And if I could travel back to the time when I was a little girl, I would say with all my confidence to her: “You will be amazingly happy and you going to have more than you ever dreamed of”.

If I could have been raised with this belief, I would have saved a lot of strength and energy which I used to prove to myself and to others that I can do it, I can have it and it is possible.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.

I and my husband have a partnership with our Savour The Life LLC company. We’re together for almost 12 years. We met on one of the dating sites. At this time, I lived in Belarus and Shiloh lived in Texas.

I was working on my computer as usual when I saw a pop-up ad for a dating site. Before that, I tried several times to register on such sites, sometimes interesting people met there, but still more often I felt out of place and deleted the profile after a few days.

I wanted to try again. The fact that the site was in English did not stop me, and my knowledge at this time of this language was limited. I received letters from the USA, Germany, Sweden, and other countries, 10-20 emails came in a day, and at first I tried to answer all of them. Later it became simply impossible, there was not enough time. Among the next batch of emails, I received an email from Shiloh.

He was not registered on this site, and for him, our acquaintance also developed from unusual accidents. He was searching the Internet for tires for his motorcycle when he saw a pop-up ad with many female faces and became interested. Clicking on various photos, he came across mine, and wrote, doubting that I would answer.

I replied to him a few days later. It was somehow very alive and warm.

My husband is an amazing person. He is extremely kind and for me he is the closest person in the world, although he came from another continent, flying all the way across the ocean. First what I noticed when we simply talked with each other was that it was very easy for me to be myself with him.

I am happy to be his wife and his partner. I can share with him any craziest idea and he always supports me.
