Alright, Susanna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
Sotheby’s International Realty is synonymous with Luxury and exceptional service. Every client receives a concierge white glove service. Personally I am always about going the extra mile for my clients. They know at all times that I have their back and am putting their interests above all else. Once my client wanted to put an offer on a unit that I knew to be within earshot of a Restaurant/Bar that has live music 4 days a week. We put a noise clause in the offer stating that we needed to come in at 9:30 pm on a Friday night. We pulled our offer within 5 minutes of entering the condo. My client knew then and there that I would always put their interests above any deal. Being of service and putting my clients needs first is an honor and a privilege.
Susanna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have been a small business owner since 1990. I moved to Cabo San Lucas in 1989 to open a Restaurant and Bar with my sister. My community ties run deep as I have seen the town transform into the Luxury Global Destination it is now. I worked in Real Estate in Los Cabos in the 90’s before moving back to The States for a while. I opened a High End Outdoor Furniture Company in 2006 while continuing to come back to my house in Cabo. I have been back full time and working for Los Cabos Sotheby’s International Realty for a few years, I am proud to represent this Brand and give my clients the utmost in assistance whether they are buying or selling their home. We leverage our far reaching network when selling homes and market to over 1000 offices worldwide.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I have built a reputation of integrity and service in our industry. I am a straight shooter who always sees the big picture. One way I will help my sellers if I foresee issues with their home is I will get a Home Inspection and quote for repairs right up front so there are no surprises down the line. Information is power and the more we have the better. All my years with my furniture business and working with Designers has given me a gift when it comes to staging and arranging furniture to make a home look it’s absolute best. When it comes to my buyers I have been here for many years so I not only know the Developments I know the Developers and which projects are online for completion.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I owned a restaurant in Cabo for 11 years so I have many friends that I have made over time through business, sports, my kids school and charity work. I am active in my community and stay in touch with people via social media and face to face time weekly. I volunteer for different events and enjoy an active lifestyle that I am blessed to share with my clients and friends. All my business is relationship based as people here have come to know me as a person of honor and integrity.
