We were lucky to catch up with Surond Maeweathers recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Surond, thanks for joining us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
It all started as a vision. I began to pray concerning what I heard in the spirit. I journaled what I visualized. Doing my research, particularly in the Dallas area. I was living in South Florida at the time. I had no idea God was preparing me for a future in North Dallas, TX. I had just graduated with a degree in Business Administration Management and just got settled in South Florida. In December of 2016, I visited Dallas, TX for the Christmas holiday, and had an amazing time with family and friends. It wasn’t until I returned to Florida sitting on my living room sofa in January 2017, that I heard very quietly, softly-spoken ‘it’s time to move ‘. In my thoughts move? Move where? Move how? Move when? At that moment, I did not hesitate, I prayed to God, my Heavenly Father for clarity, direction, finances, etc. all that I would need to make the transition. I believed in God for the next move in my life and here I am in North Dallas, TX. In April of 2017, I became a resident of the State of Texas. While getting settled in the area I did not stop journaling and making moves toward my business plan. I begin buying equipment, supplies, marketing materials, etc. preparing to launch the business when COVID 19 took over and shut the world down. It was then, I thought, no need to get discouraged, God did this for a reason. I continued to press my way staying focused, journaling, reading, doing my research, and meeting other like-minded Notary Publics in the industry seeking help, wanting someone they can connect with to mentor them to coach them on how to be successful in their business. In February of 2022, just as businesses begin to reopen and the pandemic took a turn for the better is when once again, I heard that quiet soft-spoken voice “it’s time do it, began the in-person training”, I began to market At Your Service Agent, LLC as host of the Texas Notary Public and Loan Signing Training. Designed to help Notary Publics be the best they can be in the Notary industry for excellence is not an option, it is an expectation.

I was in two abusive marriages and a single mother of two struggling to make ends meet I refused to allow this to be the end of my story. I did not let it take me out of the game or stop me. I prayed, stayed in God’s Word, and pressed my way. I evolve with Jesus Christ as the head of my life.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
