We recently connected with Supreme Visuals and have shared our conversation below.
Supreme, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
What we have always aspired to accomplish with Supreme Visuals is treat it as more of a movement than a company. And if history is anything to go by, you’ll know that movements are never forgotten. So with that in mind, we work diligently to ensure that we are leaving our dent in the universe by providing a product that people will love and wish to be a part of. In the initial interview, we referenced the Wu-Tang Clan and how, despite their differences, they were able to come together and create something that is still discussed to this day. When you think about what makes a movement work is when a community of people form around a common goal, with our common goal being to innovate and undeniable work that will continue to inspire others to do the same. Ultimately, we would like our legacy to be that we inspired people to do great things in this world and lean in to what their God-given talent is. If you believe there is a way that you can change the world around you, don’t wait for someone else to do it. The idea popped up in your head for a reason.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Initially, Supreme Visuals began with three creative individuals who had the idea of creating something memorable through the means of Photography/Videography. There was a great deal of momentum that was built up with this idea in mind, but unfortunately, life got in the way and changes had to be made. Our CEO, Adler, not wanting to let this movement fade, enlisted the help of myself (Josh Sanon) and Mark Alfred to continue pursuing the vision. Through more changes, Adler and I often have discussions on what we can do to make Supreme Visuals one of the most sought-after visual companies in Central Florida.
What we offer in terms of products are packages for Portrait Photography to allow our clients to flesh out any ideas that they have and/or collaborate on. We have a deep love for Streetwear fashion, so we always urge those who love streetwear to show it off to the world, because after all, it would be a shame if you put together a fantastic outfit and no one got to see it.
The problems we solve are giving people another outlet to get their ideas out. One issue I ran into personally was having a bunch of ideas that sat in my head with no real way of getting them out and bringing them to life. It was through photography that I was able to see that I was not the only one in this predicament. So I, coupled with the individuals apart of Supreme Visuals, extended a helping hand to those creatives who need a way to shine through in this world. What sets us apart is that we know what it’s like to not have a means, or even be scared, to even bring these ideas to life. We also know what its like to finally flesh out those ideas and being completely in love with our creation. And in that, we relate to those who maybe camera-shy and those who feel right at home in front of a camera lens.
What we’re most proud of is our work ethic and tenacity. We have found that motivation is often fleeting, and one would need to continually go to the well and fish for more motivation over time. At Supreme Visuals, we have a dedication to the vision that we have for ourselves and this company that never wanes. It is evergreen because we understand that the next day could be the one where we truly break through and realize our mission, so we attack every day with that same mindset. Our love for fashion, cameras, and overall creativity also fuel us to pursue this mission. We are always drawing inspiration from the world around us, and as the world constantly changes around us, we are also dedicated to providing the people with a timeless, classic product.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Speaking personally, I have had my hands in many creative endeavors over the years, and still do to some degree. Whether it be making music or writing scripts, I was always finding mediums to put my ideas towards. I tried to give each of them equal amounts of time spent, alongside working a full-time job and sometimes taking classes. Over time, it became increasingly more difficult for me to do so. I was spreading myself thin and finding myself being burnt out with trying to prioritize everything. It was at this point that I realized something had to be done. Something needed to take a backseat for the time being so these endeavors and my work life could be manageable. So I placed my first love, which was music, to the side, in pursuit of Photography, and immersed myself with learning anything and everything about photography, which I still do to this day. Needless to say, I learned that It is through that focused energy and sacrifice that great things can be created.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is being able to enjoy your completed work. It could be listening to a song that you made on repeat, or constantly opening Instagram to look at a picture that you took. I always looked at these ideas like children, and when you see what you created, you’re almost in awe, because it’s almost impossible that you were capable of doing something like this. But, there it is, a precious thing for the world to see. And it was through the moments of trial and error, learning and unleaning, among other things that allowed for this creation to be what it is. I still get excited when I take a great picture, so much so, that I let the clients know that if I get a bit eccentric during the shoot, to understand that I’m in my element. Really, the work that you create should be able to make you happy and not necessarily anyone else, but if a lot of people realize that you’ve created something great and they have the same amount of enthusiasm as you do, then that’s really a great bonus to it all. So if there’s any creative reading this, understand that your work is good. And there are people who love your work just like you.
