We recently connected with Sunny Moza and have shared our conversation below.
Sunny, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Picture this: a master’s degree in computer engineering leading a double life as a Program Manager by day and a secret passion for transforming lives through personality coaching by night. Yes, I was like Batman, but with spreadsheets instead of gadgets.
One day, amidst the hum of corporate stability and the allure of a regular paycheck, I heard the call of destiny whispering in my ear. It said, “Hey, you! Yes, you with the Gantt charts and PowerPoint slides! There’s more to life than status meetings and deadlines. Follow me!”
I decided to take the plunge into full-time personality coaching. Imagine the scene: leaving behind the safety net of a stable career, facing the abyss of uncertainty, and braving the skeptical looks of friends and family who couldn’t quite grasp why I would trade Excel formulas for Transformational workshops.
But you know what they say about risks? They’re like spicy food – scary at first, but oh so exhilarating once you take that first bite. Fast forward through countless workshops, sweaty palms (mine, not the clients’), and a few pep talks to myself, and here I am today, coaching folks on physical and mental fitness, perfecting their public speaking prowess, and sprinkling a dash of charisma on their stage presence.
How did it turn out, you ask? Well, let’s just say my bank account might not always understand my choices, but my heart does.
Sunny, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a full-time Personality Coach with a passion for unlocking human potential. Specializing in physical and mental fitness, public speaking, and stage presence, I blend analytical thinking from my engineering background with creative coaching methods. I’ve enhanced my perspectives by reading thousands of books, attending workshops and retreats, and obtaining certifications.
What sets me apart is my deep understanding of human psyche, social demands, and my track record of transforming lives. Whether you’re aiming to conquer your anxiety or get fit or amplify your charisma, I’ll work with you to elevate your presence and achieve your goals.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for me has undoubtedly been through referrals from satisfied clients and the visibility I gain from performing on stage. When people see me on stage, they can witness the “product” in action. It’s not just about selling a service; it’s about demonstrating results. They can judge my public speaking capability, stage presence, social skills, and see my fitness for themselves. This visibility helps potential clients understand that my coaching isn’t just theory – it’s practical, impactful, and tailored to deliver tangible outcomes.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Absolutely! As an avid reader, I’ve found several books to be profoundly influential in shaping my thinking and philosophy. Here are a few of them that I’d highly recommend –
1. Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin: This book emphasizes taking full responsibility for everything in your world, from the big decisions to the smallest details. It’s been instrumental in shaping my approach to leadership and accountability.
2. Atomic Habits by James Clear: Clear’s insights into building and breaking habits have been invaluable in both my personal life and coaching practice. Understanding the science behind habit formation has allowed me to help clients make sustainable changes that lead to lasting success.
3. The Almanack of Naval Ravikant by Eric Jorgenson: Naval Ravikant’s wisdom on wealth, happiness, and philosophy distilled into this almanac has provided me with timeless principles for personal and professional growth. His unconventional yet practical advice resonates deeply with my coaching philosophy.
These books have not only expanded my knowledge base but also equipped me with practical strategies and philosophical insights that enhance my ability to guide others towards achieving their goals and maximizing their potential.
