Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Suhair Alhaidary. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Suhair, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

I have always loved makeup, makeovers, and modern trends. Since I was a little girl, I knew I had a creative side, especially when it came to makeup and putting together looks. My sister and I would play make pretend, and I would always be the makeup artist. I took this role seriously, and when I was at the age of 18, many of my friends and family members would ask me to do their makeup. this brought me and others tremendous joy, especially when I saw the joy in their faces, and my passion for makeup blossomed even further, so I started to learn more and expand my horizons about makeup/makeovers and the industry.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

For folks that have not read about me before, I’m energetic, ambitious, and adaptable. These are some characteristics that helped me get into the industry and kept my passion for the craft growing over the years. I had been doing makeup for friends and family for years. However, my focus shifted to my family after getting married and having two children. Once my children got older and started attending school, I thought about becoming a makeup artist. My husband and children encouraged me to follow my dreams and make them happen. Their support is what really pushed me to decide I wanted to pursue a career in doing makeup professionally.

I provide a diverse range of services, from natural every day looks to full glam and bridal makeup. I specialize in bridal, high-definition (HD), nude, editorial, and mineral makeup suitable for sensitive and acne-prone skin.

I have attentive listening skills and am passionate about ensuring my clients have the best possible experience. I enjoy providing my clients with the best products and services suitable to their needs and skin types. I take pride in having knowledge about a wide range of products and how they are used on different skin types.
I prioritize using only the best of products, hygiene practices, skin prep, color correcting, color matching, and, most importantly, building connections with my clients. It’s essential for clients to feel comfortable communicating their wants and needs with me.

I am the most proud of my success thus far and the ability to adapt and learn as quickly as I do in this industry. I also feel the proudest when I see my clients radiating with happiness as they leave my chair. It’s always a proud moment when I receive client feedback and review of my work; it makes my heart happy.
I want clients to know that they are in good hands. I value and respect all my clients and use my skill set, passion, and knowledge to ensure the very best service and experience.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

Many aspects of being an artist are both rewarding and fulfilling. I wholeheartedly enjoy using my skillset and knowledge to help people look and feel their best and more confident. Seeing a client’s reaction and getting their feedback after doing their makeup is the best feeling. It’s great to see your work on social media and special events. Another rewarding aspect is witnessing my own growth as a makeup artist and making a career out of something I love doing every day.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

The ultimate goal for me that is driving my creative journey is to help everyone find beauty within themselves. I would love to open my own makeup school in order to teach my skills to other up-and-coming artists.
