Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stunnasonly. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
StunnasOnly, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Has your work ever been misunderstood or mischaracterized?
All the time. It’s just apart of the journey you know? A lot of times especially in the music industry it’s so overcrowded with people that want to start or have already started their own trends and want everyone to follow the social norms. Me though, I just want people to know the real me. To understand where I came from and where I’m trying to go and I think that’s where a lot of times people misunderstand me. I’m not the same as I was 5 seconds ago let alone 5 years. Most of the time when I make music I’m speaking from experience or feeling and it feels like a lot of people just can’t relate so I feel alone a lot of the time but I just keep it pushing I used to not like being alone but I’ve grow to actually value the feeling.

StunnasOnly, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I got into the music industry in 2018 when one my close friends asked me to come to this studio in Arlington, shoutout troitent. And I made my first song “always had it” I fell in love with it so I just kept going back spending all my money at 18 years old on studio time. It wasn’t until I met my producer and good friend Nazziisworld when I really dived head first into the Industry. That’s when I really had to get it together and learn the business for real. I had to develop an image and express myself more and more in my work still trying to overcome a lot but overall I’m proud of myself for coming this far even though I’m not exactly where I would like to be I’ve made a lot of strides.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
In 2022 it started off really good my producer had just got signed to a major label 300ent we opened up a studio everyone on the team was eating and I mean EATING. Unfortunately we were unaware of what we were actually doing and a lot happened I lost my granny the studio my homie lost his Instagram profile I lost my car and a whole bunch of other things too. Still though, we still created music we weren’t going to let the process stop us from achieving our goals. Right now we are dropping one of our best music videos for our single “Overdosing” and an album October 31st so we are ending 2024 off strong preparing for this next year to be a great one.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
A lot of people are just not accustomed to walking through everyone’s shoes and that’s fine you know. As a creative it’s all about trying to connect with your fans and see what they like and expanding off that but when starting out it’s hard to find what they like. That’s why I just make and do what I like, I just be my uncut raw self it’s gotten me this far and someday more and more people will connect with me the more I progress as a artist an icon a creative and entrepreneur. I just want everyone to know to just be themselves and that even if you don’t know who that is just trust the process. I’ll be 24 this November and even I’m not knowing fully who I am but I will.
