We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Streets Soprano a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Streets , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with talking about how you serve the underserved, because in our view this is one of the most important things the small business community does for society – by serving those who the giant corporations ignore, small business helps create a more inclusive and just world for all of us.
Here at Trust Nobody Music Group we are very committed to the community and the youth. We’ve served food to the homeless, hosted back to school drives, speaking engagements,,amongst other events.
We are currently planning our annual P.L.U.R.Festival (Peace,Love,Unity,Respect) here in Buffalo. It’s a free event for not only the youth, but everyone. There’s food, music, games, giveaways, bounce houses, etc. It’s one way we like to give back to the community that’s shown us so much love.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Iam an artist, musician, rapper, entrepreneur, father, mentor, amongst many other titles, from the east side of Buffalo, NY. Music has always been a big part of my life since about 6 years old. Iam a Black Soprano Family Records artist (Benny the Butcher)and the ceo of Trust Nobody Music Group,LLC. I’ve built this label from the ground up, carefully perfecting every aspect. I take my craft very very serious. My brand and music is different from the rest because it portrays hard work, dedication, and authenticity. Iam working 7 days a week, no time off.
My experience and expertise is what sets me apart from everyone else. I’ve continously released quality music and taken the necessary approach to stay ahead of any challenges that come up.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
The secret to building an audience and fanbase on social media is being consistent. We take time and post content everyday and interact and engage with our fans and supporters. It’s also ok to recycle and repost precious reels and videos, etc, but also keep it fresh too. We also keep an eye on algorithms and updates, and most importantly be authentic and stay on brand.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Being a ceo and leader is an important role to me. We don’t have a huge team as it’s about quality over quantity. We are very serious about what we do. It’s important for me to push and motivate the team and stay committed to our goals. We all have the same vision and are determined to reinforce our culture and beliefs.
