We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Street Beatz Made It. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Street Beatz below.
Street Beatz, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I always loved music even when I was eight years old I remember my mom and dad would listen to music in the house, the car, outside and during family gatherings. They would play a range of different genres from Tupac to Aaliyah to Kenny G and the melodies always caught my attention and as I got older I realized I wanted to pursue music.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Early Start – I started making beats at the age of 13 watching tutorials on Youtube on how to make beats.
Discipline & Craft – After years of developing my skills by teaching my self music theory, learning how to use FL Studio and finding proper equipment and sounds to use for my music. I started making sales by word of mouth in my neighborhood and I decided to upload my beats on Youtube. I would make beats literally every day trying to learn new genres and understanding what sounds good.
Getting in the Industry – In 2016 I made a “Lil Bibby & Lil Herb (also known as G Herbo) type beat and in the same year Lil Bibby made a song to it bearing the same name as the beat called “Nothin to Me” which also features iB Trizzy. It is has now reached over 500,000 plays on Youtube and has been played over 1 million times!
(On Youtube: Over 534,347 plays, Worldstar: Over 317,000 plays & On Soundcloud: Over 198,000 plays)
What I’m Most Proud Of – Being able to work with artists and producers that are passionate about making music!
Services – I make r&b, West Coast Style Beats, old-school Hip Hop Beats, Trap Beats, Jersey Club beats, Pop beats and Afro Beats. I also make loops for producers who need melodies to jumpstart their workflow.
What Sets Me Apart – When I make beats I think like a musician (someone who is well trained in using a particular instrument or a wide variety of instruments) meaning I base my melodies and sounds from instruments that are played live. I can make piano, flutes and even guitar melodies sound natural as if I was playing it live but I’m using digital software. One day I plan on learning how to play the piano & guitar for songwriting purposes.
My Brand – Represents hard work, dedication, commitment, sacrifice (time, energy and money into pursuing what you want) and trusting the process. Teamwork is a must as well. When people think of me I want them to think of someone that understands principal and execution! Anybody can do it I want to uplift not only the producer community but also young kids that want to be great and inspire the peers to be go getters. The difference between me and someone else with a similar dream is that I went for it and didn’t give up! Even when I felt like giving up I had to choose to either keep working or to throw it all away everyone goes through it but I chose to keep goin.
What I Want People To Know – I did it with no handouts, just hustle! If I can do it anyone can and I’m willing to work with them if they are willing to work even when don’t feel like it because that is what defies a true hard worker to me.
Solving Problems – Teamwork make the dream work! If Anybody needs promotion, cover art, engineers, songwriters or in need of support I provide them as well as assistance in sessions in the recording process.
Mission – Unity! Without “Unity” there is no “Community”! Everyone’s role matters, and I believe in valuing people and their skillsets because we all need each other.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
To be able to reach different communities and uplift them not only just business but for the people ( the consumers as well as the business owners) without the power of the people and the resources that are needed I don’t see a future for the industry as well as the youth! I want to be apart of the solution and to be able to do more for the Youth for their education, awareness, recreational centers, and getting communities involved.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Seeing the profits and results of the music bring unity and structure where something created by the people benefits the people and actively bring together not only just festivities, but to bring responsibilities that we have to be able to love and heal one another. I was raised hearing the older folks say “it takes a village” and I really believe that.
