Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Krasner.
Hi Steven, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
im a vegas actor/writer/director who after being in small independent projects decided to make my own films. i just completed a film where i wrote, starred and directed with eric roberts.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
i had to go through a lot of struggles financially in putting in my own money for my films, in 2021 my crew dropped out so i had to hire a line producer to help me, she turned out to be a sleazy con artist who took my money, i was also fired from my job and my father was diagnosed with parkinson’s disease all in the same month, so it took a long time to make my movie.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an actor and writer and director. I specialize in writing comedy, what sets me apart from others is my desire to make something for myself. I had a drive to get my projects done and never quit.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I agree, I think you have to take risks and put yourself out there. I’ve dreamed of being an actor and director so badly, so I saved up enough money and made a movie and all I can think about is how I can do it better the next time.
