We recently connected with Steven Fashion and have shared our conversation below.
Steven, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
With Fashion everything is subjective, so for instance when it comes to having style that comes from a place of self image and Imagination. Its all about how you see yourself and what you see yourself in. If you can surprise yourself and impress your inner child than you’ll be able to impress people. There is no real obstacle that can stand in anyone’s way because all things are possible through Jesus Christ. Everything has to be done with and through God and he will lay to path to success right in-front of you.
Steven, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Steven Faubert and I am a small and inspiring fashion creative. I make videos and content on the fashion pieces I wear and accumulate but also with help from my Business partner Santiago Giraldo we style and create outfits for people. We will do the work for finding specific pieces and various different clothing items for said person and with will make each client a hand sewn one of one piece. We’ve been doing this for a few months now but our next step forward is releasing our clothing brand within the next few months.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding part of my world would be the reaction someone has from being put into an outfit that they didn’t really ever imagine wearing for real but them being in love with how they look in it. Or the feeling of spending hours designing a article of clothing and it coming out amazing.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The biggest lesson I had to unlearn is that I have control over everything. Life is unpredictable and you’ll go insane trying to account for everything. The best thing to do is continue to work hard and trust that God will show you a way.
