How i got into my industry?
I got into the Film industry through curiosity, passion and my love for film making, growing up, I have always been curious as to how these so called actors got into that little box called television, back then I didn’t know what role an actor, cinematographer, director of photography, screenwriter, director and producer was.
In an action film, I’ve always thought those guys fighting and shooting always die in a film, I thought someone pay for their life, telling them, ‘Hey! you are going to die in the next movie’ not until i kept seeing them over and over again in the next movie, and movies released after that.
I always noticed in a bloody fight scene in a movie, there’s always someone capturing the moment, I mean how do we get to see a movie in the first place?. So who is that person capturing the whole thing?
No matter how bad or worse or emotional a film is, even if the entire cast in the movie died, there’s always one person behind, who is that person? I begin to ask my self. A director? cinematographer? director of photographer? other crew members behind the scene? this is where the interest came in. I felt the need ti identify the role each person played.
I started as a production assistant in a film and video production company, although it wasn’t easy at all, working and learning at the same time, I went from being a production assistant to become an editor, from an editor to cinematographer/director of photography then a colorist and now a successful director.
What problems i solve for my clients and what sets me apart from others?
I think out of the box, I think for my client and give them the best solutions that suits their situation, I am intuitive; the way I see things and the way i interpret things are different, I am very proud of the skill set, gift and talent God gave to me and I am very happy about how my career journey turn out to be.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building an audience requires a lot of hard work, reaching out to Influencers, and celebrities, running ads, and marketing is also essential, Instagram has been beneficial for me, the hashtags, the sponsored ad, the accounts I followed, and also the accounts that followed me back, engaging on accounts in my niche, also what helped me grow is the fact that Golden Globes awards are following me on Instagram, that alone drives a lot of followers to my page, and again all the awards I won, all the articles and magazine I’m featured on are also very helpful.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Integrity and honesty
