We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Stephen Bianchi. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Stephen below.
Stephen, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you share a customer success story with us?
Earlier this year, we were approached by the owner of a new brewery who was looking to create a permanent home for their business. After discovering a beautiful historic building in one of Georgia’s small suburban downtowns, the owner had spent nearly a year trying to bring their vision to life with another design team—ultimately ending in frustration. They came to us looking for a fresh start: a partner who would truly listen, offer creative solutions, and bring clarity and responsiveness to the process.
From the outset, our focus was on honoring the character of the historic structure while making strategic design moves to elevate its function and commercial viability. Within just two weeks of taking over, we identified opportunities to simplify building systems, highlight the building’s architectural charm, and unlock more saleable square footage—boosting the project’s ROI and long-term development potential.
We collaborated closely with the client to refine the layout until it felt just right, then brought in our trusted team of engineers to complete the design and permit drawings. The project is currently under construction and on track to open later this year.
Throughout each milestone, the client has expressed their gratitude for our dedication, clarity, and care. As the owner of our firm, there are few things more rewarding than helping entrepreneurs bring their vision to life—especially when it contributes to the vitality and character of our Georgia communities.

Stephen, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Growing up in the construction trades, I had an affinity for the built environment from a young age. My uncle was a builder, and I distinctly recall watching he and my parents construct our family home during my early teens. Being able to watch the transformation of a patch of dirt into our family home was so fun and provided great exposure to a variety of elements architects experience every day. As I neared the end of high school, my passion at the time was geared more towards the construction side of the industry, but the reality at the time (2008-2009 financial crisis) was that there wasn’t much building going on. Still wanting to remain close to the work of creating spaces for people, pursuing a career in architecture seemed like a better avenue at the time as it allowed me to pursue an education while the market had time to recover.
After spending 7 or so years designing luxury hotels across the southeast for another firm in Atlanta, my wife Julia and I decided to open our own architecture and interior design firm. There were many reasons for this, but a few key drivers were the desire to work on projects close to home so that we had a more immediate impact on our community, be able to provide a truly excellent level of service to our customers no matter their background, and expand our design offerings outside the hospitality world to other market sectors. Since opening, we’ve been able to serve clients with quality architecture and interior design services across our state in the hospitality, multi-family, single-family, commercial, and religious markets.
What I’ve come to find most rewarding is the relationships we’ve been able to build with several of our clients. They become more than just clients, many have become friends who we’re able to share special moments in life with and are able to share long-term feedback of how our designs work over time.
If there are a few key takeaways I’d like people to leave with about our firm, it’s that we place an extremely high value on the relationships we have with our clients, pursue our craft with integrity knowing that it will be judged by all who encounter it for years to come, and strive to provide the best service and product we can for each of our clients.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Word of mouth has hands down been the most successful growth strategy. It speaks to our reputation, client relations, and quality of work that current clients are happy to refer us to other people they know in the industry.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
As silly as it sounds, answering the phone. Being responsive and attentive to clients and contractors has been valuable to our clients since timeliness can have fairly larger monetary consequences in our industry.
