We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Stephen Ames. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Stephen below.
Stephen, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Almost every entrepreneur we know has considered donating a portion of their sales to an organization or cause – how did you make the decision of whether to donate? We’d love to hear the backstory if you’re open to sharing the details.
Our motto is “where Flavor meets fundraising” and it’s our core mission. We generally donate 20% of the sales and if it’s a legit LOCAL organization, we may choose them.

Stephen, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I grew up in Baltimore on snowballs but moved to ky in 2006 where they were all but nonexistent. I saw a void and once at a place in my life Iwhere I could put the time and money into, filled it. We’re in our 3rd year and it now runs like any well oiled machine.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I was unlucky enough to have a major injury on the job but lucky to have a lawyer that hot me compensated for it and thats what I used for startup funds.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Facebook has been solely responsible for our continued success. We use nothing else.
