Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stephanie Vidal. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Stephanie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
In 2019 I became pregnant with my first and only daughter, my third child, and I realized the huge amount of change it was causing in my face alone. The hormonal imbalance along with the pregnancy normal effects really ate away at my self confidence. I broke out in severe and painful cystic acne, I had dark spots throughtout my face and the weight gain that comes with pregnancy, it really destroyed my mental health in how I saw myself. I avoided mirrors, cameras, even people because it was such a huge and drastic change in my face alone and honestly I just felt so low about myself so I locked myself in the house and found every excuse I could’ve to not back out. After I gave birth, I decided that I needed to get myself back together and so I started researching skincare and skin concerns. Educating myself through google on what I can do to better my skin. I start to incorporate what I was learning into my daily skincare routine and saw my skin was improving and so was my self confidence along with it. Once I saw the difference in my skin and how INTERNALLY I was glowing because of it, I decided I would love to help others feel the same. I decided to go to school for esthetics to become a licensed skincare specialist to help others not only care for their skin but more importantly to make sure every single person I can help will feel absolutely beautiful and confident. I graduated, I passed my state exam 94%, I received my license and before I even graduated I was on a mission to help others with their skin concerns. I was performing esthetic services such as facials, lash extensions and waxing treatments and nothing has made me happier. I’ve watched women enter my space with a little insecurity, saying they aren’t feeling themselves today or lately and leave feeling absolutely beautiful and relaxed. I’ve had tired moms lose the babysitter prior to their visit and I’ve invited both her and the child because I know how important it is as a mom to feel happy with herself. I’ve helped women of ALL ages leave feeling like their best selves. To begin this journey hiding from the world to helping others who are pushing through the same challenges or difficulties with skincare along with self confidence, is really a dream come true.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I personally struggled with severe skin concerns. I realized I am a mother to a daughter who will not only be watching me but following my steps. Children do as they see, not as they are told. I needed to become the example for her. I needed to become the confident self loving woman not only for myself but for her as well. That was the push I needed to take the steps to better myself and enter this field.
I chose to take a little break from in person services but I continue to give advice, knowledge and support on social media to everyone.
I get asked for advice, support and information about the struggles others are facing with their skin and to be able to do so professionally makes me so happy. If I can help every single person who is dealing with any skin concern, no matter the form (in person or on the internet) I will do so proudly.
I’ve been there, I understand. My skin today isn’t “perfect” but I know how the smallest difference in bettering the health of your skin especially on your face can make. The confidence within yourself when you see results. And I want everyone to FEEL as beautiful as they truly are.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a skincare specialist is having everyone who I encounter feel their best and beautiful selves PRIOR to even getting any results.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My only goal is to help anyone and everyone who is struggling or simply just interested in learning about taking care of their skin. I don’t need 10,000 followers or to be paid, to help others. I know personally the difference in mental health alone when you’re not feeling your best self and having someone guide you through it.
