We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Stephanie Solomon. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Stephanie below.
Hi Stephanie, thanks for joining us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
a children’s book author whose life’s canvas is adorned with whimsical tales, vibrant illustrations, and a commitment to leaving a legacy of love.
From the very beginning, I felt the allure of artistic expression coursing through my veins. As a child, I reveled in the magic of bringing my imaginative visions to life, sketching fantastical worlds where characters danced across the pages. This early love affair with creativity set the stage for my future as a storyteller, one who hand-draws each creation before illustrators breathe life into my visions.
My creative process is an intimate dance between my heart and the canvas. Every stroke of the pen is infused with my emotions, a testament to my belief that stories should not only entertain but also touch the soul. Each book becomes a part of me, a piece of my essence that I eagerly share with the world.
Yet, my aspirations reached beyond the realm of storytelling. With each book I brought into fruition, I saw an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, to contribute to causes close to my heart. The pages of my works, such as “#knowyourworth” and “Delicious Dreams,” held more than tales; they held a promise. A promise that a portion of the proceeds would go toward breast cancer research and education, as well as supporting children battling cancer. Through these literary creations, I witnessed the power of stories to change lives, raising over $15k for causes that ignite a fire within me.
But it wasn’t until my third book, “Aloha ‘Oe,” that I realized the depth of change stories can bring. This book was more than a narrative; it was a mission to reshape conversations and challenge stigmas surrounding infant loss and stillbirths. With “Aloha ‘Oe,” I aimed to create a safe haven where families could find solace, understanding, and healing. It was a courageous step, one that mirrored my unwavering commitment to making a positive impact, no matter how challenging the subject.
As I reflect on the legacy I hope to leave behind, I envision a world touched by whimsy imagination, compassion, and dialogue. A world where stories are not only a source of joy but also a catalyst for change. When I’m no longer here to put pen to paper, I hope people remember me as a storyteller who believed in the magic of every day, who lent a helping hand through her words, and who fearlessly tackled difficult conversations to pave the way for healing.
Stephanie Solomon, they might say, was more than an author; she was a soul who painted the world with her imagination, infused it with compassion, and left an indelible mark of positive change. Through my books, I hope to inspire others to embrace their creativity, extend a hand to those in need, and fearlessly embrace the power of stories to create a brighter tomorrow. Live like every day is your BIRTHDAY & KNOW YOUR WORTH!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
In the depths of heartbreak and despair, I found an unwavering resilience that would redefine my path. My story is one of perseverance, stemming from a marriage that began with dreams of forever but unfolded into a toxic and tumultuous journey. I had married my high school sweetheart, hoping for a future filled with love and happiness, but life had other plans.
The challenges started early, with trials and tribulations that tested our young hearts. We weathered storms, both external and internal, and even experienced the devastating blow of our entire house being robbed shortly after our marriage. The cracks in our relationship grew, and I found myself grieving the loss of my best friend and husband, even though he was physically present.
Forgiving the unforgivable became an all-too-familiar theme in our relationship. My heart yearned for a mended bond, and I believed that forgiveness could heal the wounds. But the cycle persisted, and with each act of forgiveness, a little piece of me fractured. Despite the pain, I clung to the hope that things would change.
It was a tipping point when I realized that forgiveness, though a noble gesture, cannot mend broken foundations. And so, with immense courage, I decided that forgiving him was not only a gift to him but also an act of compassion toward myself. It was time to untether myself from the toxicity and take a step toward reclaiming my life.
In the wake of the divorce, I found myself with less than $700 to my name. The weight of rebuilding my life felt insurmountable, but I discovered a well of resourcefulness and determination within me. I seized every opportunity for side jobs, hustled with relentless determination, and embraced an unwavering positivity that served as a guiding light in the darkest moments.
Amid my brokenness, I still found myself striving to bring happiness to others, even though I couldn’t find it for myself. But through the struggle, I learned the importance of self-compassion. As I nurtured my own wounds and tended to my heart, I discovered an inner strength that I had never known before.
Piece by piece, I built up my net worth, not just financially, but emotionally and mentally. Resilience became the foundation upon which I stood tall and embraced my journey of healing and growth.
My story is a testament to the power of resilience—to rise above the most challenging circumstances and forge a new path. It taught me that strength is not about being unbreakable but about rising stronger after every fall. I stand today, not without scars, but with a newfound sense of self-worth and a resolve to create a life that is truly my own. In embracing my resilience, I have learned that my journey is one of transformation, and my story continues to evolve with each step I take.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist and a creative soul like myself is the profound ability to touch hearts and evoke emotions through my work. There’s an incredible sense of fulfillment that comes from knowing that my stories, illustrations, and creations have the power to inspire, uplift, and connect with people on a deep level.
As an artist, I have the privilege of weaving whimsical narratives, capturing fleeting moments of beauty, and translating complex emotions into tangible forms. When I receive messages from readers who have been moved by my books, when I witness a child’s eyes light up as they engage with my stories, or when I see someone find solace in the characters I’ve brought to life, I am reminded of the magical bond that art creates between the creator and the audience.
Being a creative also allows me to channel my thoughts, feelings, and experiences into something tangible and meaningful. It’s a therapeutic process, a way to make sense of the world around me and navigate the complexities of life. Each stroke of the pen, each carefully chosen word, is a piece of my heart that I share with the world.
Moreover, the ability to contribute to important causes through my creative endeavors is incredibly rewarding. Knowing that my stories can make a positive impact on real-world challenges, from raising funds for charitable organizations to fostering conversations on sensitive topics, adds a deeper layer of purpose to my work.
In essence, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist and creative, like myself, is the opportunity to create a lasting legacy of connection, inspiration, and positive change through the timeless medium of art and storytelling. It’s a gift that continues to enrich my life and the lives of those who engage with my creations.
