We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Stephanie Rosette a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, thanks for joining us today. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
When I think back about my business and when I started it, I would’ve loved to start it sooner! I started my business at the end of 2017, I was pregnant with my son Mordecai. I had just been fired from a hospital job because of my pregnancy and restrictions and I was devastated. The camera has always been in my life, so I picked up the camera my dad gave me and decided to start my business! If I would’ve started sooner, I would have more professional experience under my wing. Having more experience would mean I would be farther along in my career than I am now. Starting my business sooner is ideally what I would of wanted, but I do believe God has everything happen in its time.

Hi there, I’m Stephanie, owner of Rosette Photography! I am a michigan based photographer.
My father introduced the camera to me by taking photos of nature and those around us (me included). I had always loved taking photos, and even practiced on my friend that lived across the street.
After some years went by I decided I wanted to create memories in picture form that people could always look back on and cherish!
I offer a wide variety of photography services! I am a lifestyle photographer who captures all the stages of life 🥰
I love seeing the happiness on clients/families faces as I capture moments for them!
We have fun, we joke around, do silly faces, and just have a blast while capturing moments.
My clients become friends, because capturing photos is more than what meets the eye! 🥰
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
There are two sources that are best for my business in growing clientele, which I believe the first one is true for most businesses: word of mouth! When past clients tell thier friends and family about my business that helps a lot! The other source is: Facebook!
Through Facebook groups and people asking for photographers on Facebook. That is actually my main source of new clientele!
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I love to keep in contact with clients! Clients become friends and sometimes like family! I send messages on Facebook, a text, or sometimes I send our emails!
Keeping in contact is such a beautiful way to get special moments captured and see the family or individual grow!
There are times that I offer a free shoot to past clients or a discount! Sometimes we even play a game on social media to get many clients involved! 🥰
