We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Stephanie Rose Solomon a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Stephanie, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
To be a successful entrepreneur, one needs to have a clear vision, set goals, take calculated risks, build a strong network, learn from failures, and continuously innovate and adapt to market trends. It also requires perseverance, resilience, and the ability to handle uncertainty and overcome challenges along the way. Being a woman and a minority in the real estate business can be challenging due to biases and stereotypes. However, it also presents opportunities to bring diverse perspectives, creativity, and unique insights into the industry. It’s important to surround yourself with a supportive network, seek mentorship, and advocate for equal opportunities to overcome these obstacles.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
As a realtor, one lesson I had to unlearn was the belief that every client had the same needs and preferences. Initially, I approached each client with a one-size-fits-all mindset, assuming that what worked for one would work for all. However, I soon realized that each client is unique and has specific desires and requirements. This realization prompted me to shift my approach to being more flexible and adaptable, tailoring my services to match each client’s individual goals and circumstances. By embracing this lesson, I have been able to provide a more personalized and effective real estate experience for my clients.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
As a realtor, having celebrity clients and friends can definitely contribute to your social media presence. When they share their positive experiences working with you, it can attract attention and generate interest from their fanbase. Additionally, when you feature these clients and friends on your social media platforms, it adds credibility and can help build your reputation as a trusted real estate professional.
In terms of building my own audience on social media, it took time and consistent effort. I started by identifying my target audience and creating content that would resonate with them. I shared valuable insights about the real estate market, offered tips and advice, and showcased my expertise through engaging posts and videos. I also made sure to interact with my followers by responding to comments and messages promptly.
My advice for those just starting to build a social media presence is to be authentic and consistent. Find your unique voice, share valuable content, and engage with your audience. Don’t be afraid to show your personality and let your passion for real estate shine through. Remember, building a strong social media presence takes time, so be patient and stay committed to providing value to your followers.
