Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stephanie Prince. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Stephanie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
As a mom and minister, I get a front-row seat to the heartbeat of our local community. And lately, it’s felt like we’ve been living in a season filled with heavy conversations. Then something wildly unexpected happened: a rambunctious zebra, affectionately known by locals as Ed, trotted across our highways and headlines and changed people’s perspectives. Suddenly, neighbors were laughing together and families were gathered around the table tracking his every move.
Even after Ed was safely returned home, I couldn’t stop thinking about the gift he gave our community. So, I created something to help families carry on that unexpected excitement and remind us all to keep looking for wonder and laughter in everyday life.

Stephanie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Dr. Stephanie F. Prince. I am a mom, minister, and storyteller based in the heart of Tennessee. I have a Ph.D. in Christian Leadership, and while I originally envisioned myself writing academic resources to support church engagement, my first published work turned out to be something delightfully unexpected: a whimsical coloring book inspired by a rambunctious zebra who ran loose across Middle Tennessee.
What sets me apart is my heart for connection. Everything I create, whether it’s a devotional resource or coloring book is designed to help people reconnect with themselves, with their families, with their community, and with their faith. I try to blend strategic thinking, pastoral care, and creative storytelling. I’m most proud of being able to offer something that matters in both the silly and the sacred moments.
For anyone just discovering me, here’s what I hope you know: I’m here to help you find joy in the journey. Whether you’re coloring with your kids, searching for community, or simply needing a reminder that wonder still exists, I hope my coloring book gives you space to pause, take a deep breath, connect with others, and smile.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Two resources I wish I had discovered earlier in my creative journey are Amazon KDP and Canva.
When I first considered publishing, it felt overwhelming because I had ideas and content, but I didn’t have a team of designers or a publisher backing me. Learning about Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) was a game-changer. It gave me the ability to publish as an independent author.
Canva was another non-negotiable creative tool for all my creative endeavors. From designing pages and mockups to creating social media content and promotional graphics, it’s user-friendly and made me feel like I could bring my vision to life, even without a degree in graphic design.
Together, these platforms gave me the freedom and confidence to step forward courageously. If you’re a fellow storyteller, artist, or mom with a message to share, don’t underestimate what’s possible with a little creativity and the right support. You can build something beautiful from your kitchen table after your kids go to bed.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an author is watching something that started as a quiet idea in my heart become a meaningful moment in someone else’s life. There’s nothing quite like hearing someone say, “I needed this.” It reminds me that creativity isn’t just about making things, it’s about making meaningful things.
