We were lucky to catch up with Stephanie Pixi Morris recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie Pixi, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s talk about innovation. What’s the most innovative thing you’ve done in your career?

When the world shut down due to COVID-19, I found myself facing a unique set of challenges. As a new mother to my son, Rowan, I had been a teacher for over 12 years and held a Masters in Education. Teaching is an incredible profession but with all of the virtual changes and difficulties finding childcare, I decided I wanted to stay home with my son. I was determined to not only provide for my family but also contribute to the growing virtual landscape.

Leveraging my intuitive abilities and entrepreneurial spirit, I launched a business offering online courses including priestess trainings and magickal courses. With my background in education, I thoroughly enjoyed creating a witchy curriculum and providing in-depth course work for my priestess students, no matter their level of study. (thegoodwitchchs.com)

Being that it was a time of virtual expansion, I also offered my intuitive, educational, and admin services as an online business manager and virtual assistant, which I have called “The Holistic Virtual Assistant” (holisticvirtualassistant.com). By combining my passion for learning and helping others, I was able to provide valuable resources and support to individuals and businesses navigating the uncertainties of the pandemic and help them grow by creating courses, marketing plans, podcasts, and so much more.

As a neurodivergent witch, I love that I have a variety of interests and have never stopped learning. To me, innovation is the mother of creation and evolving is the only way we grow.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I believe in the power of our collective magick.

I believe in the power of divine connection.

As a High Priestess and witch, I am committed to sharing this ancient wisdom with those who are awakening to the calling of embodying their inner healer, witch, Priestess.

I have been studying all things esoteric and witchy since I was in my early teens (middle school to be exact) and remember paper-bag wrapping “Diary of a Witch” by Sybil Leek and reading it at lunch time while telling others I was reading something for a class.

My first spell, at the age of 14, was to be rid of acne (mine was very bad at that age) and, even though it sounds silly, I am happy to report it was a success. I have done quite a few spells since then, and have learned a lot on my journey. To me, learning is my biggest passion and will help anyone on this journey.

I have also been a passionate educator and have my Masters in Education. I taught students in a private school setting over for over 12 years before becoming the Holistic Virtual Assistant and diving more deeply into my witchy wisdom as The Good Witch of Charleston.

For over a decade, I have also been a Kundalini Yoga Instructor, Reiki Master Teacher, Angel Card Reader, Certified High Priestess and Priestess of Sacred Sound training to incorporate sound healing into her experiences. I have been privileged to be trained by Ana Bret & Ravi Singh, Reema Datta, Shiva Rea, Moses Love & Zeina, Gabrielle Bernstein, Lisa Michaels, Olivia Lomax, Elsa Field and many others.

My roots began in Massachusetts (hello, Salem!). I now live with my husband, two step-sons, my 4-year-old son, and 2 cats (black cat, Jinx & tabby cat, Merlin) & black dog (Coco) in Charleston, SC.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?

What I thought was going to be just a side hustle, turned into my business. Before I had Rowan, I had loads of free time and I love creating things. While I was teaching I was always looking for new ways to expand and teach the things I love such as teaching women how to embrace their most powerful selves, call on their magick, and create their destiny. At that point I was doing some virtual assistant work on the side, teaching yoga, and teaching online courses.

The more I taught people in-person specifically, the more that my businesses grew. Most of my clients come by word of mouth or because I’ve actually met them in person and they want to dive deeper into these experiences or want help with their own business.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

There is no “right” way to do things. As a healing perfectionist, I can say that I was always looking outside of myself for the answers, I always wanted to know the exact steps others were taking to create a thriving business and I asked a good many of them. What I found? That every entrepreneur has their own journey and what might work for one person, might not work for another.

I had to unlearn thinking there was a perfect blue print I could follow to create the business and life I desired. This truly led me into diving even deeper into my intuition and listening to the “energy” of the business itself as well as what was desiring to be birthed. I’ve found that when something feels a little scary but exciting, it’s time to create and showcase it to the world. The more unique we are, the more true to ourselves, the more authentic, the more others want to work with us.
