We recently connected with Stephanie Perez and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, thanks for joining us today. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
I started my travel content creation journey in 2020 with my blog! It was not until 2021 when I took the jump onto social media. I was always shy to post on social media, until one day I just went for it. I was ready for that creative outlet in my life and to this day it gives me that outlet I need! I do wish I started sharing my adventures earlier because I love having others check out the spots I recommend or knowing I helped others plan their travels. It’s a journey that I am always learning so with content creation still being new to me I am happy learning everyday.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I have always been obsessed with travel and adventure. Ever since I was little I was always traveling with my family to somewhere new and trying new things. With a passion for writing, and content creation I incorporated travel to start my pages. I love being able to help others see new places that they never knew existed! When people come to my pages they know they can find a good time. They are able to gain inspiration on where to adventure next or get full travel plans straight from my videos.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building an audience on social media is never a quick and easy journey. Everyone grows on their own pace. It is so important to remember to always be yourself and share what your audience would love. If you are just staring social media and want a presence then definitely try your best to connect with your audience on a friend level.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Being able to be creative is always so rewarding. Not only are you having fun doing your job but also helping others. The most rewarding part has to be knowing you were able to provide entertainment and inspiration to others. My favorite thing is seeing my audience visit somewhere I recommended and loving it!
