We were lucky to catch up with Stephanie Morrison recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, thanks for joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
The corporate world had been my home for over 20 years. I spent my entire career in Human Resources and that was what I knew and where I was comfortable. There comes a time when we are asked to leave what is comfortable and try something new. Sometimes we make those decisions and sometimes they are made for us. My life, like many people, was changed during 2020 when I was laid off. I didn’t know what I was going to do but I knew that I needed to find a new way to be of service to others. One day while watching a television program, I saw the inventor of the Harmonic Egg talking about the wonderful benefits and how it was helping to change lives. At that moment, I knew the Harmonic Egg was my next chapter. Taking a risk can be both exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. It involves stepping outside of your comfort zone and facing uncertainty and potential consequences. Whether it’s starting a new business, pursuing a new career path, or even confessing your feelings to someone, taking a risk requires a certain level of courage and faith in oneself. While there is always a possibility of failure or disappointment, taking a risk can also lead to incredible opportunities, personal growth, and a sense of accomplishment. In my business I learn every day. I’ve made some good decisions and I have made some bad decisions but the one decision that I don’t regret is taking a chance and opening my own business.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I was born and raised in the Seattle area and moved to Texas over 20 years ago. Traveling to see the world, connecting with people, visiting different cultures is still one of my greatest joys. I find it easy to relate with all kinds of people and I enjoy hearing about the triumphs and challenges people face on their own journeys.
There are so many people. who are unaware of the benefits of Sound and Light therapy, and its effects on the human mind and body. I hated seeing people waste so much time and money on expensive medicines and surgeries that might not even work. I bought the Harmonic Egg to give the people of North Texas a place where they can relax and wash away all their stress and anxiety in under an hour. Nothing gives me greater joy then helping others feel better.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Build trust: It is crucial to establish trust among team members, as well as between the team and the leader This can be achieved by being transparent, open, and honest in all communication. Also. lead by example: Set a good example for your team by modeling the behavior and work ethic that you expect from them. Your team is watching you and will pick up many of your good or bad habits. It is also imperative to foster a positive work environment: Encourage a positive and supportive work environment where team members feel valued and appreciated. There is a popular saying that people don’t quit companies, they quit their bosses. While this is not always the case, if your employees feel valued and heard they will be more productive and will stay longer.

If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
Yes, I would choose the same the profession. Working in Human Resources taught me about diverse perspectives. When you work with a group of people, you get exposed to different perspectives, experiences, and ideas. This can help you broaden your own thinking and develop new insights and approaches. It also taught me about collaboration and teamwork. I learned about all aspects of business, the ups and the downs and how to overcome obstacles, these were all transferable skills that I brought into my own business.
