Stephanie , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Any thoughts about whether to ask friends and family to support your business. What’s okay in your view?

The best way to spread the word about your new business is to ask family and friends to help you spread the word. They can share it on any social media, texting their friends, and buying from you.

Stephanie , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Stephanie and I own Sassy Storks with my husband Matthew. We bought our business after we had two storks in our yard with our first two children. We fell in love with this amazing idea of how to welcome your new baby home. We loved that you got to keep the bundle as a keepsake.

We love that we get to spread joy with our clients as they celebrate their new bundle of joy!

Have you ever had to pivot?

We had to pivot in a good way when Covid hit. It was a terrifying time in the beginning of Covid and everyone was so scared of being around newborns. Only fathers were allowed in the hospitals and family had to rely on FaceTime and pictures to see the new babies. Families were disconnected in way like never before but they still wanted to send some kind of present to the new parents. That is where we came in! Family or friends could send the perfect gift of a stork for the new parents. They get to take pictures and keep the bundle as a keepsake. The new parents knew they were loved from afar when their families or friends couldn’t come over to see or hold the new baby.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I try to post every day. The more your presence is known on social media the more people will remember you. More people will follow you, talk about your business, share your business with other people and order from you.
