Stephanie, appreciate you joining us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
In the midst of my teaching career, a life-altering moment unfolded when my water broke during a school day, and I was thrust into the world of motherhood. This unexpected twist became the catalyst for a profound shift in my teaching philosophy. Faced with challenges and uncertainty, I chose adaptation over crumbling. I embarked on a journey of self-development and resilience, embracing personal growth as a cornerstone of my teaching approach. This transformative experience led me to infuse my classroom with not just knowledge but also a growth mindset. I encouraged my students to embrace challenges, learn from failures, and believe in their potential for growth. My defining moment as an educator became the foundation for nurturing resilient, self-aware individuals who could navigate the unexpected twists of life with courage and adaptability. This led me to my career in mental health and addiction treatment, where I was able to use my learning philosophy to bring light into the lives of people who needed to face struggles with resilience and shift their perspective about their current life circumstances. During this time, I also became a self-taught artist, where art became my outlet for connecting with my higher self, allowing me to see my fullest potential. I’ve even written books such as a growth mindset course and journal that I am currently working on getting published. My burning urge now is to teach these same principles of growth, resilience, and self-awareness to inspire others to unleash their inner potential.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m delighted to introduce myself to readers who may be new to my work. I’ve built my career and passion around the intersection of education, self-development, and mental health. My journey began as an educator, where I discovered the transformative power of a growth mindset in the classroom. I realized that education wasn’t just about imparting knowledge but also fostering resilience, adaptability, and self-awareness in students. This revelation inspired me to create products and services that not only educate but empower individuals to overcome challenges and thrive in their personal and professional lives.
In my teaching career, I developed courses and resources that instilled a growth mindset in students, encouraging them to embrace challenges, learn from failures, and unleash their full potential. Beyond the classroom, I extended my expertise to the field of mental health and addiction treatment, helping individuals navigate life’s struggles with resilience and a fresh perspective.
What sets me apart is my holistic approach to personal development. I believe that true growth encompasses not only intellectual but also emotional and spiritual dimensions. This belief led me to become a self-taught artist, using art as a medium to connect with my higher self and help others tap into their inner potential. I’m also proud to offer my artwork for sale, allowing individuals to bring a piece of inspiration and creativity into their lives.
I’m immensely proud of the books I’ve authored, including a growth mindset course and journal, which are currently in the process of being published. These resources encapsulate my commitment to empowering individuals to lead purposeful, resilient lives.
Ultimately, I want potential clients, followers, and fans to know that my work is rooted in a genuine desire to inspire positive transformation. Whether through education, mental health support, creative expression, or art, I aim to help individuals unlock their inner strength, overcome obstacles, and live authentically. My brand stands for growth, resilience, self-awareness, and the beauty of art, and I’m excited to continue this journey with all of you.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
It’s not just about unlearning; it’s about unbecoming, shedding the layers that society and life experiences had imposed upon me. I had to unlearn the misconception that vulnerability equated to weakness. Instead, I discovered that embracing vulnerability is an act of courage, a gateway to authentic connection and growth. I had to unlearn my fear of change, realizing that it’s not something to be dreaded but an opportunity for transformation and self-improvement. Moreover, I had to let go of the belief that seeking external validation was the path to emotional well-being, only to find that true fulfillment comes from within. Most importantly, I had to unlearn the preconceived notions I held about myself and learn to love the entirety of who I am, flaws and all. It’s about accepting the wholeness of myself—the good, the bad, and the ugly—that has shaped me into the person I am today. I’ve shifted from dwelling in my emotions to facing them objectively, using them as stepping stones to become a better version of myself.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
In my relentless pursuit of self-development and the quest to connect with my higher self, I have delved into a rich tapestry of books, authors, and resources that have been instrumental in shaping my journey. I’ve found profound inspiration in the works of esteemed authors like Brené Brown, whose exploration of vulnerability and authenticity resonated deeply with me. The teachings of Abraham and Esther Hicks have unlocked new dimensions of spirituality and manifestation in my life, allowing me to tap into the power of the universe. The wisdom of Joe Dispenza has shown me the remarkable potential of the human mind and its ability to transform our reality. Exploring the scriptures and spiritual texts, such as the Bible, has provided me with profound insights into faith and spirituality. Additionally, visionaries like Alan Watts and Wayne Dyer have offered profound philosophical perspectives that have further enriched my understanding of life’s deeper mysteries. Documentaries and documentaries have served as windows to diverse perspectives, expanding my horizons. Through these resources, I’ve discovered a path to self-discovery, personal growth, and a deeper connection with my higher self, and I’m eager to share these transformative insights with others on their own journeys of self-realization.
