Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stephanie Knowles. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Stephanie, appreciate you joining us today. Is there a lesson you learned in school that’s stuck with you and has meaningfully impacted your journey?
The most impactful lesson I learned in school was to never take things for granted. In the years past, previous generations influenced you to continue your
education after high school so that you could have a good foundation in the work force. During my senior year in high school, I could remember the childhood anxiety of receiving the college acceptance letters in the mail. Before English class started, my teacher would post the names of the colleges on the chalkboard that everyone was attending in the Fall. The perceived perception to live up to certain societal standards led to the pressure some of my peers experienced during their senior year in high school.
As I matriculated through undergraduate school, I was focused on going through the motions and completing my four-year degree because that was the most accepted path after high school. When I went to graduate school, I understood the impact of how school was going to benefit me. When individuals seek to pursue a higher education degree, we seek to obtain that degree for different reasons. I am most proud of that the decisions that I made in school were my own. I was not influenced by people or opinions, but I chose to make the decisions that were going to serve my passion and purpose.
The lesson that I learned was that in everything that you do it must be personal and intentional. What you make personal in your life will be the driving
force that impacts all aspects of your life. I will never regret or take for granted the years that I spent pursing my education. My education has not only benefitted me, but also made a meaningful impact on the others that I serve on daily basis and for years
to come.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
To know me is to know that I am determined and motivated to succeed. I am very appreciative for the success that I have received as a Senior Project Manager Consultant. I actively manage multi-million dollar projects at a financial organization. As a Project Manager, you have to be a jack of all trades. The skills to be a project manager require one to be a negotiator, communicator, team player, innovator, change agent, and most of all a person that can build relationships with the clientele that they serve. The experience that I received as a project manager has propelled me into building my own discipline as a certified life coach.
As a life coach, I received the training that I needed to be able to serve and help others that need some guidance to successful navigate their life. I am
most proud of the individuals that I serve because they know that change is necessary and they are ready to do the hard work to achieve a successful outcome. I seek to ensure that my clients are able to work all aspects of their life in a 360 radius. When I birthed 360 Life Transformation Inc., the goal was build up the inner man/woman to do better, think better and live better. Our clients are receiving life changing results by the work that they have committed to in order to make the process work for them.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
The advice that I have for managing a team and how to maintain a high morale is be true to your core values. As a team leader, the team is looking for you to be the example. It is easy to apply lip service, but your actions as a leader should have a lasting impact on your team.
In this ever-changing society, it is so easy to flip flop to the newest philosophy or to fall in line to what everyone else is doing. A solid leader can stand
on their own two feet and influence others to do the same as well. In this day in age, it is very challenging to manage a team with high morals but leaders that manage teams with consistency, direction, and with a positive attitude can build up a team that
can withstand the changes of social climate.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I can recall a story that illustrates my true resilience. I can remember starting my talk show over twelve years ago. The naysayers had so many reasons why the talk show would not last because of the saturated market. I was committed to remain true to my purpose, calling and anointing. The one thing that people can’t be or do is you and that is where your strength lies. I have been resilient all of these years because I know what makes me truly unique and what my niche is to be successful. There are times that you will see imitators and duplicators that will try to emulate what you are doing, but resilience will rise you up above it all. My journey of resilience continues today. We must realize that your resilience will be tested during every season of your life. When you are able to learn how to be resilient during the tough times, you are able to smell the roses during the good times.
