We were lucky to catch up with Stephanie Jacques recently and have shared our conversation below.
Stephanie , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I am currently working on the most meaningful project. I’m creating a record in honor of my parents. my father passed away this past Nov and I spent so much time writing and processing that I am turning it into a record. The record is called Miles Jean Sessions which are my parents middle names. Its the most ” me” record I’ve created. Its a country record that has influences of soul and GoGo.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a songwriter and recording artist as well as a podcast creator and host. Im orginnaly from the Bay Area in California and found my way to LA, DC, and Nashville. All providing endless amounts of experiences to pull from to write music.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I think so many of us had to pivot when the pandemic hit. I left Nashville and headed back to my home state of California. Instead of writing in writing rooms they became zoom sessions. I even filmed and edited my last music video myself. i learned to never say never, that with work anything is possible.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
My view of social media is to be me. Share my story. I used to be more of an open book but now I do keep some stuff private just for my mental health and the privacy of my life. For the most part though you can learn about me on my pages. I share the highs and the lows. my view on everything. If you ask I’ll answer.
