We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Stephanie Gonzalez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Stephanie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
Every morning I wake up and last a few seconds looking at the ceiling, with my eyes lost I only look towards the past, at that moment I think what would be of my life if I hadn’t made the decisions I made in recent years, decisions that led me to a path that not even in dreams I thought I was going to reach, automatically all that gives me an impulse and a strength that motivates me to continue doing what I do, that motivates me to make many more people understand how important it is to take care of their health, and reading this question I think that The most important significant project is myself. I feel that I can be an inspiration for many more people who were like me in my past. Today I work very hard to be an example to follow, for all those people who follow me and believe in me, I reinvent myself every day, I analyze each idea in detail, the audience is a little difficult, but when you connect with them it is incredible what can be achieved. I know it’s a great responsibility to have the trust of so many people on my shoulders, but that gives me more strength to move forward. In this paragraph I am going to quote my husband who always tells me: “Life is like a ladder, in each step you will be presented with a challenge, you have to overcome it to be able to climb another step, but remember that every time you climb it will make you stronger.” Finally, I would like to leave a message, believe in yourself, improve every day, love each other madly and give the best of yourself in each project you propose to do.

Stephanie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Steph, better known on social networks as “Bariatric Steph”, about 1 year and a half ago I underwent gastric sleeve surgery, for the moment I did it because I had diseases caused by obesity such as: insulin resistance, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, I couldn’t hold my soreses, climbing stairs was quite a challenge and no matter how much I did exercises and did a thousand diets nothing worked, I will be very honest with you even though if I wanted I was terribly afraid, listening to so many stories and versions of what they said about this surgery But today I think it was one of the best choices I have made, for the moment I did it for health and to feel better, but something happened on my social networks that many people asked and wanted to know everything about my process, I was delighted with my change I published many ways of what it is like to live being a bariatric, I try to build a healthy community, giving my best advice and showing my day to day.
I think I am currently light for those people who are looking for a significant change in their lives, of course with this I do not want to sound or make myself misunderstood for readers, remember that everyone has to love and love each other as they are that I have learned at every stage of my process, because even though I am visually different internally I am still that girl who weighs almost 240lbs.
Today I boost my brand, I work hard with social networks, I am focused on new projects and I love being recognized for this, it gives me a lot of joy to know and find my purpose in this life.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Many say it can be a stroke of luck but social networks have a secret formula that when they are discovered it is inevitable not to go viral.
I think the biggest advice I can give you is to have a lot of discipline, dedication and perseverance and in turn perseverance. That’s the secret formula to go viral on any social network.
They create good content that is aimed at their niche. Always have a clear and concrete idea of what you want for your audience.
Already putting all this together, just have the most important PATIENCE…

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
In this technological world in which we live where 95% of humanity is managed through a telephone, I think there should be more institutions that help small creators to have greater positive growth for humanity I do not want to sound unconscious but we are in an era where we are operated by a robot that is controlled by a doctor who is miles away.
I believe that our little generations, there should be reforms in school institutions that support them in their growth through the networks.
Technology is the future and I think no one will be able to escape it.
