Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stephanie Corrigan. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Stephanie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So, let’s start with trends – what are some of the largest or more impactful trends you are seeing in the industry?
In the design industry, trends are always coming and going. As a designer, it’s challenging, but also fun, to keep up with trends and attempt to assimilate them with my own design style.
One of the biggest trends I’m seeing at the moment is minimalism. Minimalist design involves ample negative space, clean lines, and simple typography. The goal of minimalism in design is to reduce clutter and present information in a visually accessible way.
Another design trend is big, bold typography. Typography is an amazingly effective way to convey a brands’ personality and make a strong visual impact. I’m seeing this trend come into play quite a bit on Instagram, where it’s used to help grab someone’s attention as they’re scrolling through their feed.
Lastly, another trend that many brands are adopting is more authentic-looking photography. Although not a design trend per se, photography has a huge impact on a brand’s overall look and feel. Authentic photography means opting for more candid, unposed shots over staged images in order to make the brand feel human and relatable.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I started my design business, Steph Corrigan Design, in 2018. Since then, I’ve been working in the business full-time offering branding, web design and development, and graphic design services to small businesses. The majority of my clients are service-based businesses, particularly in the wellness, coaching, and beauty industries.
Over the years, I’ve cultivated a streamlined approach to design that blends intuition and strategy to create refined brands and websites that help my clients attract and convert more ideal customers. Each project starts with a discovery phase to develop a deep understanding of the brand’s goals, vision, and purpose. From there, I develop a cohesive brand identity design that helps my clients show up confidently and consistently. Then, I strategize with my clients to create a website that’s easy to navigate, conversion-optimized, and search engine friendly.
I also love supporting my clients after their brand and website launch through day rates, where we work on creating additional brand assets such as social media graphics, ebooks, slide decks, landing pages, and any other materials they need as their business expands.
After working together, my clients have shared that they feel more confident and aligned in their business, and they’ve seen tangible results such as increased revenue and audience growth.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I started my design business for two main reasons: I felt unfulfilled in my 9-5 role, and I wanted to see if I could actually make a living doing creative work. As I gained more experience, my purpose evolved. I realized that there were so many other people out there who, just like me, felt unfulfilled in their careers and had big dreams of carving their own path through small business ownership.
Although I love designing, what truly motivates me in my business is forming connections with other small business owners and supporting them in their entrepreneurial journey through my strategy and design expertise. My mission with every project is to help my client achieve the goals they set out to achieve when creating their business.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
The online business space is crowded these days, especially as more and more folks are quitting their jobs in hopes of achieving better work-life balance. More than ever, it’s essential that brands find a way to differentiate themselves from competitors in order to stand out and build a strong reputation.
A couple of things that have helped me build my own reputation include developing a strong brand and blogging regularly.
Branding is crucial for not only making your business look legitimate, but also for clarifying your messaging, positioning, and ideal customers. Whether you’re a solopreneur or small business owner, developing a strong and unique brand identity is one of the best investments you can make.
Blogging consistently over the past few years has helped my reputation immensely because it positions me as a thought leader and expert within my industry. Since I do search engine optimization (SEO) for my blog, many of my posts show up on the first page of Google for certain keywords that potential clients are searching for. This helps my brand look trustworthy.
