Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Stephanie Brayman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Stephanie , appreciate you joining us today. We love asking folks what they would do differently if they were starting today – how they would speed up the process, etc. We’d love to hear how you would set everything up if you were to start from step 1 today
I feel there have been so many experiences and life lessons that have led me to where I am now and the one thing I would do differently is to bet on myself. Every. Single. Time. I am loyal to a fault and so many times I stayed in positions that were not fulfilling, in businesses that I knew could be run better, and helped so many people enhance their business when I could have been building my own.

Stephanie , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit and have operated many successful businesses in my 49 years, starting with a family run restaurant in upstate NY. I was an elementary school teacher, in the restaurant/hotel industry for 24 years, and I also was a certified personal trainer in the fitness industry. While I loved all of these different fields, the two things I learned in my early years that have served me well is stellar customer service and the power of following up. These things have helped me to excel in every role I have had and I feel as if everything has come full circle now as we just launched our professional home organizing business at the beginning of the year.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
We have a referral program where we offer a $25 gift card or one free hour of home organizing to each and every client who refers us to someone who books our services. We also have an exclusive rate for real estate agents and their clients as we work very closely with them for a variety of projects. We send thank you cards and cards “just to say hello” to each and every client we work with.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I honestly feel like all I have done is pivot over the last 11 years of my life. While I enjoy many benefits of working for an employer such as, health insurance, not having to be constantly working, PTO, etc I have not been satisfied in most of those positions and always knew I wanted more. I have loved many of the jobs I have held but I have to admit that something clicked when I took a risk and started working for a home organizing company in 2022. I fell in love with helping to create systems, restoring calm, and feeling like I was truly helping people when we would do these home projects. I never thought I wanted to own my own business again but at the age of 49 here we are and I am so grateful I took the leap to try something new. I truly feel like I am in the exact place that I was meant to be.
