We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Stephanie Brace-Sanders. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Stephanie below.
Stephanie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
“As sisters, we must commune to communicate to build a community for us all to share, grow, and evolve.”
Daily aspirations keep us as women motivated, encourage, and empowered.
We are stronger together than apart. We are a movement, not just a force. Upon life’s journey, remember to stand on the word of GOD, the love rendered to you from those that love you (family, friends, significant others, church members), your true worth and strength, and NEVER, ever give up!
Remember always, “To Know Your Worth, You Must Know Your Turf!”
For example, when contractors buy land they survey the land – the soil, irrigation (if it is a septic tank/well), location, and acreage. To know your Worth, You must know your Turf (your qualities, strengths, talents, skills, gifts, and much more). Knowing your worth helps to build your self-confidence, your self-assurance and confirms who you are!
Remember to be your sister’s keeper. Build her up, encourage her, correct her, direct her, and be there for her.
Take her to where you are going, to another level. Surround yourself with those that can enrich you, better you! Help her to determine her worth, to build her confidence, to know who she really is, to see her greatness. By doing such, sometimes you have to call a spade a spade! Call each other out on their mess, flaws! Oh, but do it with respect, love, and order. So, it can be received.
Share your stories. We all have a story. We all have fallen down and gotten back up. Our scars are our tattoos. They are to remind us where not to go and what we have learned through our mistakes, wrong choices, and impulsive decisions. We will be tested, but we must pass the tests. In order to pass, we must be equipped, prepared and supplied with all we need. No weapon formed us will prosper. Now, we will encounter weapons (liars, cheaters, back-stabbers, rejection, abandonment, etc.) but they shall not prosper.
Also, release your clinched fist and pour out a blessing and open that fist to receive a blessing. Be mindful that everyone is not blessed at the same time, nor does everyone’s light shine at the same time, So, do not block your blessing because you are not willing to uplift someone in their blessing, or in their spotlight. We are every woman! Be on your post for one another, for your sister.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Inclination Etc. is about encouraging, enriching, and empowering women of different shades and colors. Shade represents your struggles, challenges, and circumstances. Color represents your pigmentation and complexion.
It is important to inspect yourself, direct yourself, correct yourself, project your worth and encourage one another. As women, we come in different shapes, sizes, and colors. We are all different but alike. We are all different types. Our goal is to reinforce that your confidence comes from Believing in YOU. Trusting in YOU (your choices, decisions). Know the BEST for You. Confidence is confiding in YOU. (pouring the truth into YOURSELF). We promote and execute the significance and essence to commune with one another, as we commune, fellowship together, gather together, we learn how to communicate, engage, share, relate with one another, and as we commune and communicate, we learn how to build a community for us to embrace, enrich, encourage, and empower one another. These are 3 important Cs to remember –
Commune.
Communicate.
Community.
With belief, unity, and confidence, we are a movement!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Remember to press on and NEVER give up!
As a child, I have always had the eager desire to write. I mainly shared my writing with my mom, family, friends, and colleagues. Often my mom would say, “When are you going to write your book?” The first few times she asked I laughed it off, and every time after that, I replied, When I get enough money.” I started piecing my work together and putting things into motion to publish. It appeared that every time I paved a way for me to move forward with publishing, something would come up unexpectedly. In the mist of me delaying my project, my mother passed away. Because of the loss of my mom, I delayed the project for 2 years. My mother words often lingered in my thoughts. It was at this time I felt that everything I attempted was not developing into full bloom. I knew it was GOD speaking to me, saying “Until you finish the gift, I have placed within you nothing will be complete.” So, when at my lowest; no job, minimum finances, I wrote my book. HE made a way for me to stir up my gift. When things seem challenging and I do not see a light at the end of the tunnel, I have to TRUST HIM. I have practiced and lived by these words, TRUST HIM. GOD has a plan. We may not know the plan, but we must trust the plan and trust HIM.
Once I published my first book, HE allowed me to spread my wings with hosting Women Empowerment events. HE wanted me to spread the word that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, that we are HIS masterpiece of art, and we are a symphony of resounding music. So, I began to pour into other women. I turned my tests into testimonies, my mess into a message. I allowed other women to see my authenticity, transparency, removed the veil for others to see all I have experienced; pain, hurt, rejection, a lack thereof, etc. But we must press on, stand strong, and be our sister’s keeper.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What allowed me to build my reputation is my authenticity and transparency. Being true to who I am. I always look for the good in everyone. You may have to dig a little deeper or do a little more for it to surface with some, but there is some good in all of us. With love and passion, I began to share what I know, learned, evolved to become and made available the resources I was aware of or had access to through others. I then began to reach out and draw others into growing the platform for my spotlight. Through word of mouth and social media others started to learn who I am, what I do, and my purpose. I began to grace the stage at several events reciting my poetry, sharing words of encouragement and promoting my books throughout Mecklenburg and Union County, Atrium Health, and other surrounding areas.
