We were lucky to catch up with Stephanie Appolon recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Stephanie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?

I hope my legacy inspires others to chase their dreams no matter their circumstances. Making their mark in this world as they see fit. We have one life to live, make it count!

Hello, My name is Stephanie. I am 29 and I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. I got into the Esthetics industry by chance. I know how that may sound, but there was a point in time where I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. I used to work in toxic environments that took a toll on my mental health and I knew those places weren’t my calling. It wasn’t until losing a parent made me change my outlook on life which fueled me to look for my passion. I was inspired by my lash tech who told me to look into the industry by going to school for it. I looked up a school made my inquiries and I was enrolled summer of 2021. Once I started I couldn’t stop I fell completely in love with the field. I completed my Esthetics course Summer of 2022 and formed my business. Masterpiece Beauty Esthetics LLC is one of my biggest accomplishments. I help people with their skin more so acne prone skin types. What sets me apart from others is that this isn’t about money for me it’s about helping and educating people. I love what I do and that will be my legacy.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

The most effective strategy for growing clientele is not just social media it’s word of mouth. Those who support me have brought me clients more than I really expected. It’s really strangers whom you’ve never met that will support your business.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

What’s helping build my reputation is my love and passion for my craft. When I do a facial I explain what I’m doing and how it benefits my clients. Helping and educating people about their skin is super fulfilling because a lot of people don’t know that one simple thing can harm their skin. It also allows me to give boosts of confidence when you look good you feel good.
