As a Clinic Director at Naked SKN Aesthetics, I often reflect on my early days as a student/ intern during my training. One memory stands out vividly, serving as a reminder of the importance of humility and the value of learning from every experience.
It was my first week, and I was eager to impress. I had been observing procedures and taking notes diligently, but I was itching to prove myself in a more hands-on role. One day, I was tasked with preparing the treatment room for a client opting for a facial procedure. Feeling confident, I rushed to gather all the supplies without double-checking the list.
When the client arrived, everything seemed to be in order. I greeted her warmly and began explaining the procedure, only to realize mid-way through that I had forgotten a crucial item: the soothing mask. The look on the client’s face shifted from excitement to confusion. I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks, and panic set in.
In that moment, I learned a valuable lesson about preparation and attention to detail. I quickly composed myself and apologized to the client, assuring her that I would fetch the mask right away. While I hurried to retrieve it, I was humbled by how quickly the situation could change and how important it was to remain calm and focused.
When I returned, the client was still gracious, and we laughed about the mix-up. She appreciated my honesty, and we were able to complete the procedure smoothly. This experience taught me that even mistakes could be turned into opportunities for connection and learning.
Looking back, this lesson has influenced my leadership style significantly. I prioritize creating an environment where mistakes can be openly discussed and learned from, fostering growth and collaboration among my team. After all, it’s in those moments of vulnerability that we often find the greatest lessons.

This determination fueled my passion and incentivized me to work tirelessly to make the clinic a success. I meticulously planned my budget, prioritizing essentials like state-of-the-art equipment, quality products, and creating a welcoming environment for clients.
Every dollar spent was a reflection of my dedication to ensuring that Naked SKN Aesthetics would offer unparalleled services and experiences.
