We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Stephanee Santamaria. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Stephanee below.
Alright, Stephanee thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
When you are a full time creative person who works in the creative industry sometimes it’s kind of hard to be a freelance because it’s only you, looking for “jobs” but I think every person who does that is happy, because we don’t see this as a job, we see this as something that we love and we really work hard to be on top of everything and be different for everybody else, so it’s a big risk to so but it’s something that is worth it
Stephanee, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
So I’m a fashion stylist from Miami and I started this 2 years ago, because one good friend of mine push me into it, I was studying Architecture, and I was new in the city so this friend see that I love fashion and he really push me into it so my first job as a stylist was doing a photoshoot with Latin producers and from there I fell in love My work is provide to my client a good image for their daily, album covers, concerts, platform, literally every aspects of their image, I’m in charge of that, also I love to provide new ideas for their closet or image but having too their personal touch so we can have a happy medium
For every of my clients what I do is provide them something new for each, but at the same time they look unique and also their self, I think is little details
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the most rewarding aspect, have to be the facts that you can prove that if you have your vision clear and you focus your mind in your goal, you can do whatever you want and if you have a dream, you have to go for it, cause they become true, with work, but the become reality, taking risk leads you to amazing things
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
It’s pretty crazy when you work so hard but you don’t realize that you’re there inspiring people, so I post my work or sometimes I share if I’m having any struggle and how hard can be, and people just there answering or sending love messages is awesome
